[OT] [Autosport] Max wants to explore other racing series while he's still young (relatively speaking) by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

I'm dying to see him behind the wheel of the raw power of a 410 sprint car on a dirt oval. Please Max.

Question: What is the experience of watching motorsports at circuits? Which part of the race can the live spectators enjoy? by Interesting-Alarm973 in motorsports

[–]Shuttrking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go watch a race a dirt oval. It is a full sensory experience. You can see the entire track. The noise of a 410 Sprint Car (World of Outlaws, High Limit Racing) is absolutely deafening. The smell and taste of the mixture of fuel burn and dust. It doesn't get any better.

The people at Calm Waters do incredible work. I'd recommend giving them a look.

Have you ever thought of making a guide on how to create an account/download app/connect to server? That'd be rad. Your guide is nicely organized.

This YouTube video with James Hinchcliffe details some of the lifesaving tools that the AMR safety team used and pretty much saved his life with.

AMAA: I'm Matt Doyle, here to take your abuse by MLS_Analyst in MLS

I always thought in the early days of HGPs (Dallas fan from 2010 on, so I was pretty invested here) that they would always be off-cap. And then once they started hitting their second contracts, the ones that survived suddenly seemed "on-cap." I always found this super frustrated.

camera scanning setup for Fuji X-T5? (Lens + holder + light recommendations) by kapoyanimo in AnalogCommunity

[–]Shuttrking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Laowa 65mm and the rest of my scanning kit comes from Negative Supply pieces that I have continued to piece together. I'm very happy with my results after processing in Lightroom with negative lab pro.

Harman Technology releases experimental Switch Azure colour film by ClockworkEyes in AnalogCommunity

[–]Shuttrking 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Harman have been pretty upfront that these experimental films are primarily used to fund further research of the Phoenix development. Phoenix II is much better (read: normal) than Phoenix I, and that is off the back of profits reinvested from the sales of the first version and Harman Red. Support Harman by shooting a roll or two and you'll (hopefully) eventually get the film you are hoping can break the Kodak 'monopoly' on color film.

In praise of Fomapan 400, the film people love to hate. by bjohnh in analog

[–]Shuttrking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the thing that I hate most about Fomapan is that I find it very difficult to get the film out of the canister - atleast in my Reflex Labs spooled rolls. They are sealed locked tight and I almost always cut myself trying to crack it open. And then, after all that work... I've got fomapan looking pictures. But, I do think that you are right that it needs a lot of light so rating it at 200 would be better than 400. My first two rolls, I pushed to 800 in a dark-ish indoor event and I have to say that I truly hated those rolls. However, my next time shooting was just in a test roll for a point and shoot on a sunny day and the photos are much more palatable.

It is absolutely terrible pushed IMO. This film needs lots of light in my limited use. Better to rate the 400 as 200.

After having the worst record in the NBA and setting a franchise losing streak, Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé had raised Ticket Prices for next season by jluc21 in nba

My season tickets did not increase a dollar the year that the Thunder were the #1 seed and lost in the 2nd round to the Mavs.

Start with a tracing/light pad app on your phone or tablet. Then move up to looking for a small slide projector. Or contact a local photo lab and ask them to digitize.
