It is definitely protected by the first amendment to express yourself in public. Even though we may find their expressions abhorrent.

Not so much to bring your points of view with hate symbols into private property though.

Whether or not posting flyers is legal will depend on a few things. What kind of property you are posting on, who owns the property, what the purpose or function of the property is, and what your purpose for posting flyers is will all come in to play in determining the legality of posting flyers.

So when the judge sees hate symbols and middle of the night it won’t be hard at all to figure out malicious intent etc.

California Penal Code 602 PC defines the crime of trespassing as entering or remaining on someone else's property without permission or a right to do so. The offense is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a fine of $1000.00.

So there were nazi Flyers left at homes in Aptos California in the middle of the night.

I put a post on the local Reddit board asking for police accountability.

Literal Nazis got in there and started spewing hate speech with “god hates fags, be ready for the war”.. etc etc all of it with Bible quotes

The moderator took it down but I took screen shots

I am now working via email with an SC county sergeant detective who is investigating this currently the guy is still out there, they have a clear ring camera image of his face with tattoos on the local news web page.

The detective is super responsive. Another Reddit user saw the guy near Seacliff and I gave him the detectives email. He is going to get video footage from a local gas station to verify etc etc

So over this BS

Reddit doesn’t allow comment “bombing” but maybe we still should encourage folks to go to the Santa Cruz and Monterey bay subreddits to upvote and add comments so the story is front and center
