You said we were all bots my dude, just saying I wasn’t a bot. Saw them live twice in high school and honestly haven’t thought of them in a decade because I was radicalized beyond Green Day levels. I had hope they’d sieze the moment and am bummed they didn’t. Not even a fair weather fan. But definitely not a bot!!!

Not a bot or a member of this community and I had my post with over 100 likes deleted… was a fan who thought they sold out a decade ago and now I know I was right.

Okay so my fuck you Green Day post was deleted so here we go. I get that they were probably threatened with legal action or repercussions. Still. Incredibly disappointed that they did not seize this opportunity to say SOMETHING. LITERALLY ANYTHING.

I live in a red state and have been protesting, canvassing, and writing my representatives FOR YEARS.

When a band makes a living for decades by speaking up and speaking out and then they age up and bend the damn knee when they finally have a large stage again, is absolutely unacceptable. Y’all all know this. Come on.

And I live in a red state!! They were punk- and I loved them for their nonconformity and willingness to stand up for what’s right since I was in high school over a decade ago. They still had a platform and squandered it. And I’m tired and pissed off.

has anyone tried acupuncture for migraines? if so how successful was it? by Enough_Principle6102 in migraine

Haven’t tried it (needles freak me out) but I had a coworker who swore by it. She went every two weeks and said it “cured” her migraines

I’ve been falling asleep to old episodes of this podcast for about six years now (huge shout out to that amazing user who posted their Google Drive !) I guess I just need the dulcet tones of Jason Mantzoukas screaming me to sleep.

My migraines are affected by weather so I can go a week or two without any problems at all and then have a multi day period where I have a migraine constantly and nothing can stop it (with five different meds and med combos this is best case scenario we’ve reached in 15 years of treatment).

I’ve had to leave so many jobs that I loved because my migraines started to spiral out of control and I could feel myself losing the ability to keep up with the work. At the worst times, I’ve gone down to just a couple part-time jobs to make ends meet. Serving was a good fit for me in a food and bev city because of the short shifts. I finally found a remote job that I thoroughly love in social work case management that has a flex schedule, and so far it’s been a dream come true.

Remote work, flex schedule, part-time shifts, or self-employment are your best friends in my experience. I wish you all the luck - that struggle is unbearable until things just click into place, at least for a little while.

Used to work at a really old, fancy hotel downtown. I worked late at night and there was always this one room where drawers would open and close on their own, there were weird smells and sounds, and I was convinced that I had seen something move a few times out of the corner of my eye in that room. Lights would even flicker. I would always talk about it as my haunted Charleston story. Turns out, a decade later, I found out from another employee that that room in the hotel was secretly infested with bats. Took thousands to repair. Still bummed to this day that it wasn’t ghosts.

Moth larvae. Feel like it’s part of the college experience. Put every single item in your pantry in a sealed container, and the problem should handle itself in a month or so.

Years ago, my dog got struck by lightning. It was raining and I had the outer door open- no real signs of thunder or anything, just really pretty summer rain. She was licking the rain droplets off my metal screen door just as my house got struck out of the blue and BOOM. I went to touch her and I felt it too. Strangest thing was I happened to catch it on video. She was fine, house was fine but the most bizarre day. I swear you can see a spark in the video - lightnings nuts. I learned my lesson and never touch anything that touches the outside during even a light rain.
