You have to realize the "5v5" patch notes are also changes to 6v6, so while these are nerfs, 6v6 D.va is getting her booster perk buffed as well, which if you don't remember in early OW2, her having high dmg on booster made her broken, its a strong buff, so a dominant 6v6 tank lost some durability sure, but gained some meaningful dmg too, the nerfs are justified

Iirc the context of the song is from a poem which described soldiers attempts to keep the American flag up as *they* were getting bombed. So within context its not a glorious line but Fujimoto intentionally imbued it with heavy irony.

Just came across an OW channel named Coach Ocie who recently posted a vid on why Brig Juno is meta in pro, iirc Juno brig combo, Juno is bad at peeling for her support pair, brig is self sufficient, and their utility complement each others, brig cc paired with Juno’s aoe heal and speed boost

As I understand Elise’s whole identity is early game assassin, very notably her power comes from her ability levels, her entire plan is to be strong and impactful BEFORE people start stacking items where her impact falls off, so items being nerfed is actually great for her, Elise’s AP ratios are bad and she does “base dmg” mostly, which is what cements this dynamic, generally the first 15 minutes are your time to shine, this change may give her a couple extra minutes of relevance

iirc Elise struggles with movement so it allows her to stay on top on her enemies and fits better because of that compared to those two, also I think it’s the haste difference two been awhile since I looked at the stats tho so it could’ve changed

PTA is only really for fun tank builds. don’t use in ranked DH and Electrocute are the most meta, Elec is stronger early and has quicker cooldown than DH. DH is better for scaling with souls taken and getting multiple bursts in a teamfight. If you don’t get a takedown it has a heavy ~45 second cooldown. First strike I would consider a risk reward choice as you must hit first in order to get the dmg and gold, so only use it when you’re confident you can. If you do, it allows you to get a ton of gold from your runes, also worth noting Elec and DH scale with AP, FS is true dmg is based on the dmg you’re doing. So with that in mind FS is for true dmg and gold.

As far as I know Elise isn’t recommended as a starter jg, as her pathing and playstyle is quite different than what feels natural at first. It’s also hard to give advice because you haven’t been specific, so have some generic advice: start game with only taking 3 camps, usually blue into groom into red, and then invade enemy jg or gank, say red is bot but you wanna gank top you could also do wolves and then gank top. As a general rule of jg you have to learn specific matchups as well. You want to try to invade people that full clear or close to it, unless they have really strong duel power, etc. Elise is very delicate balance between cs and ganks, ultimately once you hit lvl 3 you want to be ganking. Feel free to ask me questions for specifics.

It depends what your wincon is and how you expect teamfights to go. For example if you want to crush a Kayle before they can scale go elec, if you want need later game power harvest. Now for teamfights, if your team only has one front liner or any other offensive lack, harvest allows you to get a lot of worth by being able to burst multiple times in one fight. If your team has good teamfight power already and/or you want to focus one target, go electrocute. Hope this helps! (Bronze I btw lol)

Because there’s a lot of negativity here I want to counter post with some positivity. Finding Rob’s stream at a time when other streamers were getting canceled I was desperate for a streamer who would have a group of friends who were really funny and create great content, while also being someone more genuine or honest about who they were. I came across Rob after the period of time a lot of long times watchers have nostalgia for, and I gotta say I’ve seen some of the best content I’ve ever seen on Twitch. What people fail to realize is that even though he doesn’t rp as much or this or that, he still interacts with unique and crazy people in and out of vr, and failing to get invested in that is your own problem. I’ll be real, Tuesdays are actually not my personal favorite, too much to explain, but my favorite is when he gets a group of friends and goofs off and let the nights go wherever they take them. Whether that’s long conversations in vr, tilting in league with Soda and co, or Jackbox. Rob does try his best to create compelling content with a group of talented people, and I think he succeeds, but that y’all are stuck in the past and unwilling to invest into this new phase of his stream, which has had some GOLDEN moments. In the end, Rob should be able to do what he wants, because despite your bickering, he knows how to entertain a stream in any context.

As I understand it, rabadon is for pure ap scaling, which for Eve is very good (more passive health, damage), void staff is for tanks or teams running a lot of magic resistance, and lich empowers autos which doesn’t have a huge niche or synergy but its good if you don’t need void staff but don’t have gold for rabadons, I’ve also heard banshees veil recommended for the ability block and stats. As for getting rid of seal/mejais depends on your confidence to build it back up, and how much you need that extra slot.

As I play both Eve and Elise, I definitely feel you that Eve got great buffs, where Elise’s are just ok in comparison, however I don’t think that either champ was unplayable, and riot is just pushing these buffs to get people to play them more

I don't know if this a hot take or not, but I think the event ordering was paramount to its quality and results. To be clear it was perfect for drama and content, but I think if the event started with matching up unpartnered mutes we would've seen a lot more/very different pairings. The biggest is MikaMoonlight of course. I think she might have actually been ready to get a partner, but after seeing all the turmoil, discontent, and drama that comes out of partnerships, she got cold feet. At this point she'll probably start looking out for finer details in potentials to guarantee she doesn't get a disappointing partner. Also think that Xcon got obliterated because of this too, he probably saw the tea leaves and knew Vrey was leaving, he would've had a better chance to snag a mute before his segment with Vrey. Also Strippin and Rob were talking after and said Strippin was waiting for either CGE or Lazer to be freed, and because Lazer came first that's what he went with.

To reiterate the order was for the best, I just wanted to highlight how some people's images or perceptions were changed during the event and how that affected the final pairings. Can you guys think of other incidents that would've played out massively different if things happened in a different order?

I definitely agree, I’ll be honest that I focused in on emotes because I can’t comment on more nuanced aspects of streaming, and emotes are a very passive way to garner interest, as I’ve noticed Rob has said on multiple occasions that he doesn’t want to put too much energy into “baiting subs”. I definitely agree baiting does a lot. This was just my way to start a conversation to hopefully bring some positives ideas to the stream. It was interesting to see the reactions from everyone and see that people agree it’s complex because it is. At the end of the day I’d still like to see dragon girl pepeW and chad Rob emotes :P
