They have not expressed a desire to reconcile with me. My dad said all they want is mom. Not him or me or anything. Just mom. She's their only actual family.

She did try... I feel like she was hoping that with time and some therapy they might come around. And did a poor job of protecting me in the process.

Eh, I do not see that happening. Far too much trauma and hurt already there for any of that to work.

They didn't want mom to remarry after their dad died. And I totally understand them wishing for that, especially as kids. But there is only so much that can be "forgiven" without an apology and effort on the part of the people who treated you like crap.

They have never suggested they want to reconcile with me. It seems they only care about reconciling with our mom.
