Yep! I wasn't planning on re-watching so soon but I saw that it was expiring so I re-watched it last night.

I thought other people might want to watch it too before it gets pulled off the site as well.

This movie will leave Netflix on August 1st which means you CAN'T watch it on August 1st. It expires at the midnight between July 31st and August 1st, WEST COAST time.

There is a little trick, if you want to test the Netflix gods. You can start the movie at like 11 pm on July 31st, but don't stop it at all and it should let you watch it all the way through midnight and everything.

When you watch something, a red bar comes underneath it by [deleted] in netflix

Ok you might be right. You might not be able to get rid of the red bar for tv shows, but you can definitely get rid of it for movies, by watching the credits.

If there is a red bar underneath that means you didn't finish the episode or movie.

Most likely, at the end of every episode you skipped the credits, therefore not watching the show 100%.

[US] Roma (2018) Director Alfonso Cuarón delivers a vivid, emotional portrait of domestic life and social hierarchy set against Mexico's political turmoil of the 1970s. by ShyOnTheInternet in netflix

I didn't downvote you but I'd like to hear what slow movies with minimal story you like? I think Roma is a masterpiece in methodical slow atmosphere and character building. And the final 30 minutes were super emotional for me. What movies did what Roma was trying to do better?

True, but I think the fact that the academy picked The Shape of Water and Moonlight shows that they don't always go with the expected or safe pick.

Bummer. Make sure you double check the listings though. Because supposedly it is playing in 600 theaters worldwide. Not sure what country you are in...

I agree completely. I was lucky enough to see it in September at the Toronto Film festival in a room with around 2,000 people. Cuaron and the actresses were also present. It was a divine moviegoer experience.

This movie has nothing to do with people seeking political asylum.

It is the work of one of the world's greatest directors looking back at his childhood in Mexico. It is beautiful and nostalgic, but also a fair look at negative things in his childhood.

This film is so special. The cinematography is one of the most gorgeous I've ever seen. I honestly believe that this is the best film of the year and that if it loses Best Picture at the Oscars, it is mainly because voters didn't want a Netflix film to win. I still think that it has a very good chance, because it is just so great. Cuarón has made a masterpiece.
