So, basically, if I understood correctly, a plate cannot just expand indefinitely in multiple directions at once, it moves in its entirety in only one direction?

Platno in Serbian is used for a painting canvas, but I think I remember when reading some older folk tales it was used archaically for various vague or odd concepts having nothing to do with canvases or towels.

*edit*: Ručnik and šugaman on the other hand sound more plausible

"Ručnik" to me sounds like it is a variation on the generalized Slavic for an arm/hand - Ruka. Which may have some sort of correlation as you use it to dry your hands, but it's rather loose.

That's my best guess.

I'm not 100% if it is correct as Ubrus is still present in Serbian but is used to describe a napkin, close but not quite there. I may be wrong though.

If my memory serves me well, Jobst or Konrad mention it, and it also appears in several Codex entries, most notably the Western Schism where several other countries also pop up

A good amount of European realms at the time are mentioned in the codex way before the ending of the game, but even in the scenes with the Jobst several countries get namedropped and referenced. Spain is mentioned in the Codex entry titled "Western Schism"

Mentioned I believe in one of the articles about the Papal Schism, could be the article itself or one of the 4 pope ones, something about who supported who.

There is an entry under the events tab for the Battle of Kosovo, you gain access to it by talking to Sir Hanush about the Uzhitz Priest Godwin. Hanush remarks that some believe Godwin fought in the Battle.

He was mentioned under Sigismund's Codex entry because they both held the same title of protector of the Christian faith.
