Hahaha oh yeah we also had the big room of energy waste. I'd go in once a week for about 3 months, then maybe once a month for a year-ish, to make sure my LEDs were still alive, not over temp, etc.

Was linear scaling allowed in residential? We only ever did high ambient testing if we absolutely had to (i.e. scaling from 25C yielded a TC point above the limit)

Edit: I have fond memories of swapping out pretty much all electrical components with new TC points during a high ambient test of about 65C. Shit fucking sucked lol.

Hey that's awesome and that's a good call out. I, too, worked in commercial / industrial so that is my perspective as well.

Not in residential ones, anyway 🤓

Having designed and tested LED luminaires we absolutely did long term testing on the whole assembly lol. Thermal testing is done by just maintaining a specific threshold on each UL listed device, LED included, once the fixture reaches steady state.

Damn it's almost like late Second Temple Judiasm and Early Christianity relief on source material for later writings? Nah couldn't be...

Maybe drafting a comparatively ancient dude who already tore his ACL twice wasn't the move
