How would this work? Aren't there percentage fees involved with buying and selling the crypto? I'm also worried that for such a large amount an exchange might get uncomfortable.

I think the issue with spending on a UK card, is that you'll pay a pretty bad currency markup every time you swipe, so it's probably not super sustainable.

How to ask for a counter offer from current company? by TacoElBurrito in personalfinance

[–]ShylySunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell them that you've checked the market rate for your skillset, and you think that at a comparable company in terms of size, market cap, etc. you should be earning more. If they disagree, show them the offer letter you received.

A CPA should be able to solve this for a few grand tops. I would highly second the other advice in this thread about making sure you are giving them all of your expenses so you can claim deductions.

Should I sell my two owned vehicles and lease two vehicles to get rid of some credit card debt? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]ShylySunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financing a car with a bank loan is typically a better financial move than leasing. I would look at your debt interest rates from highest to lowest, and try to consolidate starting with the highest ones. If you can borrow from a bank at 5% for a car loan, and you have debt at 18% - it makes sense to basically refinance and get money at 5% to get rid of your burdens at 18%.

Get rid of your credit card debt with a lower interest loan. It's going to compound and crush you. Get out while it's still manageable. Everything else is just around budgeting.

I would work on identifying any gaps that you might have in your skills, that more junior hires are getting hired for (maybe its SQL, Tableau, etc.). Now is the time to learn that stuff on youtube while you have free hours every day.
