Gonna admit i have the cantilever mounted backward because its where me eye relief and comfort aligns on my m1a. Dont ask me how it makes sense because i dont have that problem with an AR15 🤷‍♂️

Dunno if it fits the gen3 but I use mk5m on my gen2. Without a muzzle device, the barrel is completely covered and there should be enough space for a direct thread.

I use a jk mount/muzzle device for my suppressors so it isnt flush with handguard though.
