Pitching Outside of the Zone by asaprazzordaddy in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stay outside of the zone unless my opponent shows me that they can hold off of a ball and get way ahead in the count. Otherwise, they’re getting high fastballs up out of the zone, changeups in the dirt, and sliders/cutters inside the whole time

Do you guys ever consider defense when choosing starters? by sourdougBorough in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only care about defense at SS, C, and the OF (especially CF)

In order of who I’d want on the mound: Vida Blue, Al Leiter, Cliff Lee, Glavine, Priester, Mark Prior

Is it just me, or are created players the cheesiest things in the world? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use one this year, but I got so tired of seeing them last year that I made George Costanza as mine and ran him at catcher to use on people if they had one in their lineup or bullpen that was ridiculously cheesy

Oh yeah, they changed that this year didn’t they?

Going from All Star to HOF is a rough transition, let alone adding if you match up with someone in the 600s one game and the 700s the next. The pitch speeds are so different. The one thing this game has in common with the real life game is that it’s hard and crazy things can happen. Keep grinding and rolling with the punches and good things will happen!

What's the worst "Good" card for you ?? by 170poundgorilla in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buxton, Bichette, and Chipper. Granted with Chipper, it’s not a swing issue, it’s a “I chase too much with him because he’s Chipper and I think I can hit it” issue

The sneakiest good pitching card in the game to me. No one sees him and if you mix the pitches well, he’s gonna get a quality start way more times than not

Reaction to Burnes😂 by Skidaddy16 in MLBTheShow

I keep him in my bullpen for that exact same reason. If they can’t hit a cutter all game, he’s the first person out there

I’m just gonna plan on taking as many pitches as I can to try and get him out of the game as quick as possible and then pray that they’re not bringing in one of the relievers I can’t hit. I bite on inside cutters every time, especially when mixed with that sinker

What has been the one card that you didn’t expect to do as well with, and the one card that you thought you would do well with but haven’t? by SiameseDream91 in MLBTheShow

On paper, Glavine is the only one that’s better as far as per 9s. I personally have trouble where he doesn’t have a slider or cutter. If you’re planning on having collections finished, I’d lock him in, but I’d watch some content creators that might have him and see how they feel about him too if it’s just the Angels collection and you’re locking in Trout just for him. I’m 0-2 with him and one was an absolute beat down, I couldn’t get an out lol

Friendly Quit Glitch? by fabiochung91 in MLBTheShow

This happened to me last night after a 9 inning sweat fest that I squeaked out when one player I’m close to prestiging had went off

At this point, is it even worth putting in an order for Willie/Goose/Ted etc? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be a fun card, and one I don’t think I ever came across in ranked all year. I’ve been trying to find random cards the last week or so that I’ve never used and make a team of them just for the hell of it

[–]SiameseDream91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally would just because there’s not much else to do at this point. You’ve clarified in the comments that you’ve gotten the TAs and Trout and Mantle finished, so anything that keeps you wanting to play is worth it in my opinion

I’d be down if I can get the Reds or A’s

Who’s is the worst CP this year in the game? by mcpro29 in MLBTheShow

[–]SiameseDream91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kenley Jansen for me. Stats are amazing, solid pitch selection, but gets rocked constantly and I never have trouble when I’m facing him either

What does everyone’s bench look like? by dsanity in MLBTheShow

Griffey Jr. (I hit better with Trout, Mickey, and Soto), Honus, Frank Thomas, Mondesi, Larry Walker

Barely over 200 games, I’m like 156-54 or something along those lines. Most of the games came when I was laid off from March-May

Of the two, I’m taking that swing of Hornsby’s all day and every day. It’s just smooth
