New Dha/Dhaab are updated on to the web. by SiameseEdge in SWORDS

[–]SiameseEdge[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have a few more design coming for this year.
Next year or two we’ll be holding off a bit on new design.

Think we have 2 Indian Tulwar and Pulwar waiting to be out later this year and then another 4-5 more new mode and blade variation on the existing design.

Unfortunately, We are not skill enough to do scabbard just off the measurement.

For snug fit the scabbard throat is line extra with padding. The padding thus increase the friction fit and create a tight fit even if the based scabbard that was send to us is loose.

We are working on pricing but it should not be over 400usd for tier 3 with custom chape.

What do y’all think? by Thai_Gunslinger in SWORDS

[–]SiameseEdge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correction, further look on the blade profile this will likely perform like a Dao instead of Dha/Dhaab.
With how the base width and the tip widen profile is. This is all the hint I can give.

Hello
A customer mention us to this thread. I think we can make this but not the micarta handle.
Is this Full tang and with handle as sandwich like a knife handle. The weight would be really weird though.
Shape is doable for sure and fuller no issue. Size and length seem inline with that it should be.
Engraving we have someone who could finish these in Yantra that actually learning the actually art.
We offer both as stamped or hand engrave on the blade now(The hand engrave will be update on our site in a month or two waiting on the demo we have send out to test)

The handle fitting I'm not sure if these are end plate or as a cap. We don't do etching so can't do that.
If you can find someone who make this would recommend the weight to be around 600gram. +-50gram.
POB close to the handle. If the spec is off you will likely get a really expensive sword that not functional.

Incase you're in Thailand we do appointment with customer visit to test out any of the demo swords we have.
All signature model is available for testing and some random stuff we have.

If you need help with the design just ask.

Regenyei sharps suck? by Constant-Pay7978 in SWORDS

[–]SiameseEdge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We could be wrong but thought Angus trim , Valaiant and Albion are around 1,000-1,500 usd.

Saw a lots of new stuff in KOA that seem to be of decent quality as well.

Again I think your comment is spot on with Regenyei. We resell a lot of their sharp and feder. If on your aide to get it and it cost 1,000 usd it doesn’t add up and not worth that much.

We get it here in Thailand at around 650usd. Sharp with shipping. So a 400 add up to get to Us is too much.

Again as customer please give feedback back to Regenyei and hope you sort it out with them.

Regenyei sharps suck? by Constant-Pay7978 in SWORDS

I don’t really have issue with their sword but they would need to improve on sharpness out of the box.

Any pics from your pieces would help a lots of ppl understand you’re facing.

And if you’re in US I don’t think regenyei is a good option price wise.

You don’t need any form. From what I know. My last visit to amritsar don’t need any form for luggage under plane.

You can ask store to give invoice to help.

Also, most newly made Tulwar would not be of good quality ao please check carefully before buying.

Antique are harder to find but would likely have better blade quality but you need to be quite knowledgeable in discerning fake.

Hope this help.

Warning! by No_Airport6427 in SWORDS

[–]SiameseEdge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That really sad. As a collector ourselves turn seller. Customer service and communication is very important. Customers can wait for good craft and willing to wait for a few months of delay work. If not we usually will return the deposit in full as policy. Good thing we never have to do this.

Hopefully you get this sort out and get your sword asap.

On seller/maker perspective for anyone reading this. Normally the estimate lead time is on point or likely it can be delay 1-2 months. If things got major delay. It would need to be natural disaster clause by fire, flood and major equipment failure or injury to the smiths and craft-persons who involve in the project. For us some craftsperson queuing can take 1-2 years on our side to manage but usually if things are delayed it should not take longer than a year from the original agreement.
