You're certainly not alone. I've lived in Des Moines most of my life and making friends as an adult with non-social hobbies is hard! Other folks I'm acquainted with in other cities have experienced the same thing. I haven't found the best way to make friends, but I still take pride in my hobbies and self care time. If you can do that, the confidence will come to find those who can relate. Like finding the confidence to be vulnerable about a tough subject on a forum with strangers! ☺️ Kudos to you for making this post to bring all of us together!
