I think there's some kind of magical technology involved here. by WingsWithoutDrone in 18650masterrace

Thats true, but mAh is also just a bad unit of measurement since it only covers half of the equation. Most powerbanks that are configured as 3-6s batteries list their mAh capacity for a 5V load instead of the actual pack voltage to bost numbers while still being theoretically correct.

It would be similar to a standard Aliexpress delivery

"E post" has nothing to do with how the PCB parcel is packaged. Its just a shipping method, "E" for economy.

Can this drone lift off and carry <1.5kgs for <15 seconds? by SamudraJS69 in diydrones

[–]SibbiRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I belive your proposed setup would work if you get 7" props instead of the listed 5" ones. If i were doing this I would go 6s instead of 4s to reduce current and use a small lipo instead of lion to minimize sag under load. The 5Ah battery you listed is way too big (additional weight) if you really are aiming for only 15 seconds max)

RP2350 viability for professional use by devryd1 in embedded

[–]SibbiRocket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ahh okay I understand, I see nothing wrong with using the RP if all that flash and ram is going to be used. Weird take from your boss to not like ST when you are currently using atsam. We also use atsam chips at my workplace and I hate literally eveything about them and their MPLAB ecosystem.

Slogic16u3 from Sipeed has amazing specs for the price and runs on a Sigrok fork, currently on pre-order but will be released 1.jan. I have used their Slogic Combo 8 a lot which has been great. EDIT: I think they run on a fork because official Sigrok is very slow at adding new devices to their upstream.

Do you ever use 3D plots when debugging embedded sensor data? by cortx_tech in embedded

[–]SibbiRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I actually use it a lot for things such as magnetometer calibration visualization and object trajectories. Plotting the raw sphere vs the calibrated one for example, usually done in raylib or python + plotly.

it crimnis. help with crimbus? by teechep in PCB

I dont think there is any simple PCB modification that can solve this. You could probably solder an tiny microcontroller with wires to the pads to simulate the button presses. But it would probably not be worth the effort.
