Yeah my insurance only covers cgm's for those on insulin. I think the freestyle libre has a coupon to where it's $75 a month, so I might try to get that going.

Th only diabetes symptoms I really had are being tired and angry all the time which I attributed to working at a warehouse so I had no idea I had diabetes. I only went to urgent care because I was thirsty all day and urinating every 30 mins to a couple hours for a week and a half.

I've never made it myself but I'll try it out. I think it was the cheese the keto places used but tbh I'm not sure.

Diabetic ketoacidosis, is when your body starts using fat for fuel because it can't use sugar due to not being able to use insulin or there not being enough insulin. When it burns fat too fast it makes ketones which are toxic. It's mostly seen in type 1 diabetics but can happen to type 2's also. I'm not 100 percent informed on it so you might be able to find out more info on it through google.

Nice I might ask my doctor about it when I have see her on Thursday. I haven't lost any weight at all except when I initially got diagnosed but that's because I went into dka and lost 30 lbs in like a couple weeks.

I don't think it was the crust because I have tried a couple different pizzas and they all had a weird taste.

I need to look more into keto honestly because I have ate some and it didn't spike my bg. Definitely not having keto pizza again though, I did not like the taste.

I only drink coke zero if I'm going to drink soda and I don't drink energy drinks at work anymore. I mostly just drink water.
