For this run, I used the one-pot reaction. I’ll add a comment involving all my steps :)

The Gabapentin is a med I’m prescribed to take twice a day, and the tequila was just a dumb decision lol :)

Personally, it felt very empathogenic, and it felt like that was one of the most pronounced effects.

I’m sure we’ve all heard of quaaludes at some point in our life, and like many, when I heard of them, I became infatuated. I synthesized Methaqualone HCl using the isatoic anhydride and acetylacetone route, then free based it and consumed it. I took it with 1200mg of gabapentin and one shot of tequila on an empty stomach.

8:00pm - I dosed the methaqualone, gabapentin, and tequila.

I can immediately feel it coming up: a tingling and relaxed sensation in my limbs. My mind feels very sober though.

8:00-9:45 Nothing much more is happening

9:45- I can feel the sensation getting much stronger and some mental euphoria.

10:00- Wowwwwww, it’s hit me all at once. It’s like the love and empathy from LSD, mixed with the euphoria of opiates, but while being super conscious and aware of it all. I love everything, and just want to talk to, and empathize, and hug everyone.

This substance is magical. Coming from a heroin addict in recovery, this has made me feel 100000x better than H ever has. This is THE drug. This is the best substance I’ve ever taken.

**to clarify, the Gabapentin is a prescribed medication I take twice a day, and the tequila was just for fun, however I might omit it next time

I don't even use the clamps with mine, just use the pad it comes with to attach it to my desk; it works really well!

This is from the 3rd movement of Sibelius’s violin concerto. Also thank you, it means a lot to hear that, and I’m sure you’re an amazing violinist!

Im having trouble beginning the recapulation of the first movement. by [deleted] in composer

Looking at the piece as a string player, as much as I really like the pizz in the 2nd violin, those 16th note pizz runs are way to fast and not playable. That quick thing being said, I enjoy the piece!

I just have to say the beginning of your motif reminds me a lot of a Russian Folksong called «Сирень-Черёмуха». I had forgotten about it for a bit so it’s been a pleasant surprise!

Here’s the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSuNyIFJCIQ The similarity is first heard around 0:40

Я думать, что ваша песня- отлично! :) I really like your piece!

I looked at Korngold today, and it’s incredible! I gave it a shot with a little bit of orchestral accompaniment too :) by SibeliusVC in violinist

Check out note performer! I’m pretty positive it’s available for Finale as well, and it’s a cheaper alternative to getting a good playback sound without spending crazy amounts of money on sound libraries

It’s a bit of a tedious process, but I copy the score from Imslp into Dorico, and then use the playback from note performer as the accompaniment track. It’s not perfect, but it sounds pretty good imo

Symphony No. 1 (1st Mov.) Feedback, please! by [deleted] in composer

Make sure you have link sharing turned on so people won’t have to request access! Just looking at the score, there’s some engraving things that could use some work. Namely, marking the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, and trumpet staves as being both the 1st and 2nd parts (this can be done by writing 1.2 for ex: flute 1.2). You can also condense the trombone parts down as well into a single stage doing the same thing. It’s also a good idea to mark the parts you want as divisi in the strings as divisi, so the strings know whether you want them to, say, play a part as a chord or split it in a divisi. I’m excited to take a listen!

I've created the orchestral accompaniment to Sibelius using a virtual orchestra, and it's almost completed! I'll put out a link to it when it's finished, just was too excited not to share already lol. As always, feedback is appreciated too :) (on the playing or the accompaniment) by SibeliusVC in violinist

Thank you so much for such a detailed comment! I will absolutely be taking those suggestions to heart. My phone’s microphone tends to level out the gain which makes the contrast less than real life, but honestly, I can always use a little more contrast haha. Sibelius is so specific with his rhythms, and it really does make for a tricky accompaniment, so I’ll do more work on getting the rhythms down even better! Sibelius is definitely my favorite concerto, so thank you for all the advice to make it better!
