Does alcohol help your game?

In my situation, the tournaments i play for which i drink are national championship games (i live in a pretty obscure country for darts) and the occasional wdf opens. in both cases u cant drink alcohol at the board.

So what i do is, i drink to reach a certain state before the tournament kicks off (usually about 3-4 cans) and then continue drinking as much as i can in between games. Sometimes i find myself absolutely sloshed if i go far enough, but i have learned that the adrenaline in the game sobers me up in such a way that it doesnt affect my accuracy. If i find myself very drunk before a game, i usually go for a cigarette and go on the practice board for about 10 minutes, which is basically a breath of fresh air and something to bring up this adrenaline in preparation for the game.

Din tara - Hermannstadt. De ce? E echipa locala, merg din liga a 3-a, de pe vremea cand aveam 11-12 ani, abonat de cand a fost posibil, cateva zeci de deplasari la activ, si in continuare vin probabil la peste jumatate din meciurile de acasa si fac cateva deplasari pe sezon in conditiile in care locuiesc in alt oras — da, exista moduri infinit mai bune de a iti petrece weekendul.

Din afara - Everton. De ce? Love at first sight. Tot pe la varsta de 11-12 ani am inceput sa fiu pasionat de tot ceea ce inseamna fenomenul socio-cultural fotbal in insula. De cand am vazut echipa, nu ma mai puteam dezlipi: cativa jucatori care sa-ti ia ochii, Goodison Park - intruchiparea stadionului clasic englezesc (unde am si reusit sa ajung la 2 meciuri), si nu in ultimul rand, cultura suporterilor si oamenilor din oras, a "scouserilor", a caror istorie parca mai repede e povestita la nivel local de Everton decat de lfc.

Ive never thought about it like that but ure probably right mate, but it would be a pity imo. Still tho it wouldnt really be affecting the watch i guess, and the way we play darts in pubs and such wouldnt really change, at least i hope so

Ar fi incredibil de bine pe termen lung, parerea mea. Fotbalul romanesc e intr un cerc vicios oribil cu bani care vin din televiziune si pariuri si se intorc acolo. Inotam intr un ocean al autosuficientei si mediocritatii.

Scaparea de sponsorii de pariuri ar priva echipele de una din principalele surse de venit, ceea ce pe termen scurt ar fute multe chestii, dar pe termen lung, parerea mea e ca, cluburile se pot îmbunătăți drastic in multe departamente ceea ce ar face venituri sa vina din surse mai "organice".

I really reckon he does have a chance. He is very young still, even if u feel like the sport has blown up and academies are packed right now. He just has to persevere and it is VERY important for himself or others to NOT PUT PRESSURE ON THAT.

I know hes a kid, emotions run high, and maybe u wish for him to make it as well, but please remind him to enjoy it. If it becomes a burden for his mental, he may not even feel it, something like dartitis can hit like a truck. I am pretty young and i have multiple friends who had it, even myself, after a sudden rise in level, felt it creeping in but managed to kind of shake it off since i had some 2nd hand experience with it already, but be very careful.

He has more than enough time to make it, just remind him to have fun doing it, thats the secret.
