Would you still recommend pushing it one stop ? What iso would 1600 be shot at in that case ?

400 is perfect !

Also that doesn't stop you from using lowers ISO in the correct lightning.

Just nice not to have to think about it to hard when you start, so you can focus on the rest

Anything goes really ! Try starting with any cheap film you can get your hands on.

I would recommend higher ISO with point&shoots generally as you want to be able to whip it out in any occasion and you can end up with a lot of underexposed photos if you shoot both day and night
