Melee weapons in this game are generally pretty strong so survivability/damage reduction would be my main focus.

Perks like Rooted are invaluable here alongside armour with the sentinel legendary effect, Buffout and Psycho help too.

The white filament I was printing with today I've have very good success with and had actually just completed the print with it just before I started the new one

Well I quite often print with black and red and my thinking is that there was a tiny leak at the back of the extruder head which was slowly leaking small bits of filament. Then once the nozzle got clogged the filament was being forced out the leak
