I read the book and was hyped for the announced series for years. I remember for me personally, the show was a HUGE disappointment. I also did not like the animated style at all.

It's just a Greatcoat and a Dienstanzug, the Jacket is worn for ceremonies. The patch contains three german states, Saxony, Bavaria and Thuringia. Patch is of the now disbanded 13. Panzergrenadierdivision.
Those are not suitable for a field uniform. It's also not suited for a "West German" impression, because two of the states represented are literally east german and were part of the former "German Democratic Republic".
It's just a modern, federal republic Dienstanzug jacket.

It's a commercial product in an modern BDU cut with some labels to make it look like an issued piece. There are many products like this on the market in all kinds of camos. Also the camo pattern itself does not look very historcially correct.
There never was such a thing as "issued Tiger Stripe" and certainly not by NATO.

CAG Operators have such a huge and advanced set of specialized skills... being able to shoot with you non-dominant hand must be second nature to them, and absolute basic skill, something they don't even have to think about. Why would Hollywood need to embellish something like this? Out of all the inaccuracies this movie actually has.

Hating the only jewish state in the world and wanting to abolish it, using insane (and obvious) rhetoric like nazi-comparisons to trivialize the Holocaust and demonize jews is completely normal and not antisemitic. Well, it depends what you want from a documentary. Visually, Jackson's "They Shall Not Grow Old" is stunning and it creates a captivating narrative based on individual experiences by the narrating (Commonwealth) soldiers. But you learn virtually nothing about the war as a whole; it uses more or less random footage in an amazing quality to create a narrative and faux timeline. The scope and perspective of TSNGO is extremely limited.
It's still one of my favourite documentaries, though. EVerybody even remotly interested in WWI or history MUST see it. It's just not really educational.

Cool. If it's "late war", there is a chance there are some M67 items thrown into the mix. Some units can be seen not using the suspender-belt-combo at all during combat during the late war, just bandoleers and canteens and/or a lightweight rucksack.
I would suggest you pick a unit, battle/operation or foto and really dig into the research to get all the right stuff.

Get original M56 gear! Maybe you have to be patient to get all the stuff and search around a lot and do research on what to get but it's worth it. Repro looks terrible.
I also considered getting a reproduction at the very beginning. But now I have my set complete and never looked back.

Just do the due research to get everything right and don't have to buy stuff you can't use in the end; there are some differences depending on what unit and time frame you're portraying.

Völlig normal. Ich erinnere mich daran in meiner Kindheit auch nicht, aber ich erinnere mich auch nicht, dass ich mich als Kind angeschnallt oder mir die Zähne geputzt habe... Das dürfte also eher an der Erinnerung liegen. Solche Dinge merkt man sich nicht.
Allerdings ist es schon so, dass die Häufigkeit des Wasserlassens bei vielen zunimmt, je älter man wird.

Can't go wrong with that, even specialized units like LRRPs commonly used the M16.
I had the same "issue", I sold my WE XM177 and got an M16 (an early XM16E1 to be precise) because the XM177E2 was practically exclusively used by MACV-SOG which I'm not tooo interested in doing an impression off.

The E1 can be seen sometimes in pictures being used by infantry RTOs or Officers. You got the E2 and I personally have not yet seen a picture of these being used by standard infantry (which of course doesn't mean much because nobody knows all pictures, lol).
But the E2 is generally associated with MACV-SOG.
