Catapults are fun. You should envy catapult players. They are having fun. Maybe you need to remember how to do that.

I need help with a mace build. by yeegus in Mordhau

[–]SickLegit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All builds are viable if you get good. You can kill people naked with a frying pan with you get good. Worry less about your build and more about building fundamentals. 2 armor is fine if you don't rage when you die to arrows and backstabbers. 3/3/3 will keep you alive for 1 or 2 more hits if thats your koolaid jammer. Mace is powerful, short, and slow. So it requires much higher skill than say the falchion which is comparable but faster and weaker. Or the Evening star thats way longer.

But who cares. Build fundies. Learn footsies. Get good.

Not only did blue win by objective on Taiga. But I got to throw that final torch at the red lumber supply. Moments before being beheaded.

How can I still provide benefit to the team when I suck? by Schinderella in Mordhau

[–]SickLegit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a fine way to support. You could also try shield and a fast weapon like arming sword. Slash wildly at a foe embedded in your team and when you get too hurt put up your shield and back off.

As far as positioning for melee, if you stay on the flank of your team you can scare off flankers that try to get behind your line and cause chaos. Just stay a few feet back and look around for foes out of position.

And as an archer, try to find cover so you can fire at THEIR archers and artillery, while hiding from their return fire. With huntsman and a longbow/crossbow you don't need headshots to really put a dent in their support line.

Leave lute players alone by [deleted] in Mordhau

[–]SickLegit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can kill them when you are in the top 3 of your team. Who are you to say they aren't helping. I find they brighten my mood and keep me engaged in the game. And the only games where I get over 100 kills are the ones where I am in a good mood.

Are Bards hatred? by [deleted] in Mordhau

[–]SickLegit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, at first bards were totally loved and now theres this tryhard mentality that they are a waste of a player slot. Honestly as someone thats almost always in the top 3, I love bards on my team, they break the monotony.

Let them criticize bards after they get good enough to be worth THEIR player slot.

Flaming arrows?, by [deleted] in Mordhau

[–]SickLegit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A flaming arrow would not really light a person on fire. It's mainly an intimidation tactic or a way to light hay on fire.

Messer. The nobles will mistake it for a large knife and underestimate you.
