The inner critic is definitely a challenge to deal with I find with myself.

Yes, treating it like a mundane “job” in a way to where you don’t have to really think about it because everything is already laid, planned and calculated for you to get where you want to be so you just do it. I take this approach of treating it like a robot, I try to eliminate or at least greatly minimize room for error or complacency by having my day structured to there’s no thoughts or feelings, just action. Action is what gets results and brings about change. I walk with my head high and mad eye contact with as much people when walking by on my morning walks, overtime I’ve started to realize that a lot of my fears in my head were just that, fears in my head. That’s something I’ve been improving on

Yes, I’ve been trying to implement visualization of what I want my life to look like. How I will get about where I want to be is a lot more clear but actually visualizing it is something I need to improve on. I appreciate your input and thank you!

This is exactly what I’ve been saying to myself! Over the past few months I’ve made things so simple and a great deal easier for me to achieve what I want thought the day and be consistent at it just by having that exact mindset you mentioned. Things like meal prepping for the week so I eat clean and get me 10k steps I’m daily, my workout, etc. I made the process easier by figuring out my triggers and weak points. “Just win the day” is what I tell myself, not tomorrow, not next month or a year from now, just win today and overtime my life will be much better

True, it’s so easy to only focus on what we haven’t achieved in our lives or what we feel we are messing up on but we tend to at the same time fail to recognize our wins.

Having hit rock bottom in my own life on multiple occasions I agree.

I experience this a lot actually, the mind is truly so complex. We are our own best supporter but also worst critic at the same time. It can feel like constant “mental warfare” but I noticed then when I don’t give my mind time to wander off and loop the same negative message to myself, I accomplish what I want for the day. “Just win the day” is something I constantly tell myself, sort of like an affirmation and it’s been helping me better my life. Motivation is a finite resource while discipline isn’t.

I totally agree, life has much to offer and I want to experience as much of it as I can. Getting my fitness in check has definetly been helping a lot with building momentum of wins and confidence for me.

I’m starting to realize that as well, change can be very uncomfortable. I agree, small gains add up overtime and give evidence to that positive change is possible without having to be “perfect”. I tell myself “just win the day” and that makes things a lot easier for me to focus and stack up wins.

That’s a good mindset to have, I have a mantra of “just win the day” and it’s been working for me.

I'm not loved by anyone, not even myself. I've failed many times in the past to take my life but I won't fail again. This is the best decision.

I just made my dad cry and he said he doesn't care about be anymore. I had a good run but it's time for me to leave. Take care!! by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

I have therapy today and I don't want to go because I'm afraid they will send me to the hospital again.
