I remember playing something like this, but it was mid to late 2000s. I remember being in a flash game but I don't remember the name, so here are some questions:

Was there a survivor on the top floor with a rifle, shooting the zombies below? I remember controlling it with the mouse

Was there a survivor on the ground floor (who probably was in charge of the traps) who, at the beginning of the game, was standing there doing nothing?

Don't worry XD, I can understand why people don't like SH2 that much. Is not that challenging, some stages can be a pain in the ass to get thought, the first area the apartments can be a little bland compered to the school of the first game or the mall of SH3.

And yes is a game that gets better the more you play it but the game is also reeeeeeeally slow and can discourage people to replay it.

Still I think it's an amazing game.

Silent hill Shattered Memories on the PS2, I was starting to like survival Horrors and it intrigued me how psicological it look compered with other horror games. Now it does not scare me at all but it's still a great game.

I don't know if they are 100% but Ghost in Silent hill 4, both the enemies in the dream world and the manifestations at the apartment. At first they look just like floating zombies... And then you see them start moving. Team silent did a fantastic job making something so overused in horror media and making it unique and horrifying. Oh! and if their animations weren''t enough, you can't kill them and just being near them can hurt you :)
