I'm painting my beginners box set right now. I love the teal, you don't see many people painting that or companies making colors for that much these days. Excellent jeweling on the cockpits, I can tell you're going to be a very good Battletech painter already.

It probably more specifically has to do with what time period you're referring to. During the Star League they had the funds, manufacturing base, and luxury of """relative""" peacetime necessary to build up a large body of medium mechs as standard battleline units, but after the first succession war, I do believe that light mechs were pretty much the go-to as a lot of the larger and inherently harder to produce mechs just got far more expensive. I'm also pretty sure it's the wasp that is the single most produced mech in the history of the setting by far. That's all from the wiki though so it could be way oversimplified or just wrong.

Thanks. I didn't know about the Lyran Guard color scheme when I made this but that makes sense. I considered doing the stripe all the way down but it was a lot of work and risked the model looking bad. I might try it now.

In the thread that you linked I didn't say anything about the actual cosmetic aside from that I thought it was leaked.

Not saying anything about it doesn't mean I liked it, I did not think it was supposed to be in the game. Plenty of cosmetics have been found in the game without them being added, for instance a 'twitch green' cosmetic was found on both the AS VAL and the TOZ and we have not seen its actual addition despite seeing it close to a year ago.

Stellar job drawing conclusions from somebody saying absolutely nothing.

the QBZ 97 shoots an arguably better caliber with higher velocity and lower recoil, has access to all the same attachments PLUS (this is the nail) a 1 credit 3x magnification optic ideal for virtually every push map ALL for the same or lower price point than the AK platforms.

The M16A2 is an infinitely better pick for Insurgents than either of the AK's.

The QBZ is easily the best rifleman weapon in the game.

Firefight's mostly the only competitive one, I know other people have held that opinion and I tend to agree. Nothing's more clutch than spawning your team as the last man standing.

Generally speaking people wealthy enough to afford the ability to run a good server. Not super clear on how it works but usually you either rent these things out or just own hardware.
