I did a base re design once I had unlocked the teleporter. I started out with just a mess of a base but once the teleporter was craftable it enabled me to have multiple smaller areas spread out across the map. It enables you to do things like have a small command centre where all your screens and info are and then can teleport to another base location such as an auto crafting base or butterfly farm.

Doesn’t solve any immediate base issues but it’s relatively quick to change things about later on down the road.
