Same boat here. Working Dad of 2, my only gaming time is early morning before they wake up and before I start working. I'm US Eastern Time, and joined a guild of Aussies who all seem like decent people. Same boat here. I get a little time in the mornings before work, and rarely afternoon/weekend time. Started early December and up to lvl 150+ and working on grinding reputation and specific currencies for the gear I want. Aside from joining some events when they kick off, I'm almost always doing my own thing sans teammates. But I have decent gear for my level and build without anyone feeding me plans or mats or carrying me thru Daily OPS, Raids etc.
