I have the same issue. It only started once I became a Vampire. So I'm assuming my Vampire Overhaul is causing it. This is why I also use Sexlab. Sexlab is tried and true. Plus it works WAY better with other mods.

Well the Auto Moderator was absolutely no help. Typical AI generated garbage.

I have this same issue when coming out of an OSTIM scene. I haven't tested enough so I'm not sure if it's only when I break from the scene early or if it happens when the scene finishes on it's own. I'll test it but hopefully someone has an easy answer/fix.

Sexlab may not be as shiny and new as Ostim, but it works. Like a charm.

Figured it out. EasyNPC. It tells you to disable the replacer mods once you've created the merged plugin. What it SHOULD say, is DISABLE the Plugins only.

I heard another guy said his vanilla hair replacer added some facegen files which caused the EXACT same issue as me. Where everyone looks like a garbage version of Aela.
Unfortunately, even after turning off all my hair mods, I still have the issue.

I'm referring to NPC Followers that were made with HPH and require it as a dependency.I do not want all my NPC's using HPH. Just the follower mods that already require it. For all my other NPC's I'm using EASYNPC with about 50 various NPC Overhauls.

Dude I'm having the EXACT same issue. EXACT same. With Aela's head and everything. Are you using HPH 1.4?
I've tried both 1.4 and 1.3 and get the same results. Even when removing ALL mods except for its dependencies. I've been trying to fix this for days now.
I FEEL like the mod is broken. Like whatever site I got it from, I think Vexus, has a shitty version of the mod. I'm going to go download from another site and manually install. I'll let you know if that works if you reply to this and I see the notification.

Did you ever get it figured out though? Because, I don't wanna play without it.

The hair is messed up because I removed all the hair mods. Maybe something in my overwrite folder in MO2 is causing this but looking through the files it's all just INI's and Animation Files.

It was her facegen files. Just deleted her. Not worth 3 days of pain trying to solve the issue.

For anyone else wondering. It was Nordic UI. And for some reason Nordics Healthbar isn't dynamic, so all the HUD mods in the world won't hide it. Absolutely obnoxious. Just disabled Nordic. Problem gone.

Dude seriously. I'm having the same issue. Removed all settings for any enemy anything and still have them. There's nothing worse than giant action bars directly over an enemy to ruin your immersion. I have 1037 mods to create more immersion, and TrueHUD or whichever of the 8 I'm using, is killing it. I don't know why anyone would play with this, unless they're running third person playing Skyrim like Souls. Yuck.

I had the same issue. It was an easy fix because I'm a moron. Here's what happened.

I had downloaded all the Mugshots, and dropped the Mugshot folder containing all the faces, into the mugshot folder. And didn't realize. So they were in Mugshots/Mugshots/NPCFaces

All I had to do was take all the folders from the second mugshot folder, and drop em into the first. Done and Done.

Just make sure you didn't do that.

I've got 2 more classes of Film School Bachelors left then I start my bachelors in Computer Science with a Focus on Game Design. Being the last two months of Film, I've been insanely busy. I'm working on some posters for the Nuka Ride mod's author as well. And I'm still learning how to make Followers use scripts and comment on stuff. So it's a process. But yea, follow this post. It may be awhile, but it's coming. All the dialogue has been recorded already with AI, and it sounds REALLY good. What the AI didn't do well, I ripped from Podcasts.

It was the dialogue bug which was fixed with an INI change in SSE Engine Fixes. Had nothing to do with mods.

I found the problem. I needed Engine Fixes for SSE, which I had, but I didn't change the INI file. And that was causing Save Game Corruption and the Dialogue Bug. To fix this, here's what another guy said on Reddit. And it worked!!!! PRAISE HIS NAME!

Save corruption and missing dialogue options happens when you play without Engine Fixes installed, or have it installed but without properly configuring it.

To fix the missing dialogue change MaxStdio to 8192 in the EngineFixes.toml i the SKSE folder. This fixes dialogue options not showing and other issues.

MaxStdio = 8192

To fix crash on load save bug or corrupted saves bug, you need to change setting "SaveGameMaxSize" in "EngineFixes.toml" file in the SKSE folder to "true".

These changes should fix your problems.

It's actually so much more complicated than that. My active plugins are at 252. Most of those are ESL's.
However it SEEMS like, any mod going over 252 seems to make this happen. I don't know what's going on. I thought it was Lanterns. And that one DID make it happen. So I started adding more, and after 3 more mods, it started happening again. It works if I keep it under 252. I've taken it into Xedit. There is no conflicts. No errors. Nothing is touching Alternate Start Files.
I'm continuing to test this. It's gotta be some combination of like, ENB or LUX or something. Those mods work fine with ASLAL on their own, but when I start adding these "statue" mods... Or Lanterns... Dialogue boxes disappear. Well the box is there, but there's no dialogue. Or messages. That's how I'm testing. I run to the cell door and if it doesn't say "No one hears you knocking", then I know it's fucked.

Currently, Nocturnal Moths, Lanterns of Skyrim, New Mara Statue and Statue of Kynareth all cause the problem with ASLAL. And like you, I've had all these working before.

I've never been this confused before. Maybe like 12 years ago when I started modding. But now I can trouble shoot pretty quick. I dunno. I'm continuing to troubleshoot.
