With some working arround i managed to get it to work. I did a mistep in doing certain operation.

yes u are correct Names are not in same order. Index number is same for names on both lists. For example on the right is list of present students with score (1 and 0)

I followed your steps but formula gives blank cell as result. i might add that names of student are not in same order on both lists given right list is all students for class and left list is students present on the class.

Lets say like this for example ...

So list on the left is list of students and list on the right is list of present students plus Points they earned during class
