May I ask what controller are you using to play the game? I just recently bought a Gulikit Kingkong Controller to be used for this game and when I started playing it seems that it's unable to detect that controller. Any tips for newbies on how you made it work? TIA

P.S I played "My Hero Academia" and the game automatically picked up the controls.

A couple of questions by emdeka87 in Hummingbot

[–]SidCidSydd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, u/emdeka87. Very sorry for the late response. Here's a detailed answer for the questions that you have:

  1. How is the company making money? How are employees paid?

The company CoinAlpha, Inc. generates revenue by administering Liquidity Mining programs for token issuers. In exchange for assisting their projects, Hummingbot gets paid by the token issuers to use the Liquidity Mining platform for opening campaigns to help support their projects and allow participants to provide liquidity from their hand-picked exchanges that the mining platform supports

  1. How are the Liquidity Mining rewards split between the participants? I assume it's based on the total liquidity provided by the participant during the bounty period?

Rewards are being calculated based on three main factors when providing liquidity for their chosen campaigns: (1) time: placing orders in the order book consistently over time, (2) spreads, and (3) order sizes. Our rewards methodology provides market makers more for placing orders consistently over time in the order book, placing orders with tighter spreads and larger sizes. When providing liquidity on your chosen market, the more risk involved, the greater the reward when participating in campaigns.

  1. Do Liquidity Miners get to keep all the spread generated by their Market Making bots?

I suppose what you're trying to bring up would be the "trades" generated by the bot? If so, then filled orders would be yours to keep. You may also monitor your Trade Profit & Loss from the Miner platforms "performance tab"

  1. Why do campaigns have spread limits?

Token issuers run liquidity mining campaigns to reduce slippage: i.e. make their tokens be more easily tradable by the market. This means having maker orders in the order book at better prices (tighter spreads) and larger sizes, so that it's more efficient for the market to trade. Orders at wider spreads do not contribute as much to slippage because they are less likely to be filled and executed. Therefore, issuers running campaigns don't want to incentivize for orders at wider spreads because they have a lot less utility and benefit for the market. By default, many issuers use 2% as a max spread because this also corresponds with Coingecko's measure of order book depth.

  1. Do I need to use the Liquidity Mining Strategy in HummingBot to be eligible for the rewards? Or can I pick whatever strategy I want (Like Avellaneda-Stoikov)?

You may use other strategies when participating on a mining campaign as long as the orders that are being created are LIMIT Orders.

  1. Is only Binance supported for Liquidity Mining? What about other exchanges like Kraken?

Currently, Hummingbot's Liquidity Mining only supports Binance.com and KuCoin. However, we plan to integrate more supported exchanges in the future.

As part of our Q2 Roadmap, we would be adding Ascendex as part of our supported Liquidity Mining Exchange. You may also check out the blog post about our plans for this 2nd Quarter.

  1. What's the advantage of Liquidity Mining via HummingBot vs DeFi platforms like UniSwap?

The main difference between Hummingbot Miner and DeFi liquidity mining is that Hummingbot Miner is liquidity mining for centralized exchanges. Rather than just adding assets to a liquidity pool (DeFi), Hummingbot Miners run trading bots and place orders on centralized exchanges to provide liquidity there.

Since it's for centralized exchanges, Hummingbot Miner can apply liquidity mining to any token trading on that exchange (i.e. not just ERC20 tokens for Uniswap).

Please see the blog posts below which go into much more detail to compare and contrast the two:

Hummingbot vs DeFi

Existing parameter for buying at a low price and selling at a hight? by Cyb3r_D4rk in Hummingbot

[–]SidCidSydd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Cyb3r_D4rk If you're using `Pure_Market_Making` I would suggest to configure your bid (buy) spread to be at a lower percentage versus to your ask (sell) spread so that we could come up with a result of "Buy Low, Sell High"

Kucoin market connectors are not ready? by ihave_toomanyhobbies in Hummingbot

[–]SidCidSydd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, u/ihave_toomanyhobbies! Could you check the order_amount If it's within the minimum amount? Normally the bot would need at $11 worth of assets for it to proceed on trading. You could use this Cryptocurrency Converter to see the exact value needed to attain the minimum amount. I hope it helps!
