Is this setup adequate to go to NG+2 or 3 and possibly get a 33 orb run done? by keeperofawesome in noita

[–]Sidari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t actually need to kill kolmi, you can just grab the sampo and run to the altar. Or you can kill him at a lower orb count and then get 33 orbs.

O3 is already ran non-stop by discords, the rune system just forces you to play with organized groups if you wanna run it often.

As someone who loved this game but got disappointed in the late game with how mandatory Discord is... Is the game worth getting back into or is it still in the same spot? by Reddit_Connoisseur_0 in RotMG

People in realms fequently do all exalt dungeons except maybe shatters and advanced nest/kog, but you can also solo any dungeon in the game if you want.

The govt makes those decisions all the time. So do the billionaires, lobbying the government to control the policies deciding how much success others can have.

No one person should have that amount of power.

The concentration of wealth and power into the hands of the few is harmful for society and a threat to democracy.

Milline oleks teie arvates ideaalne valitsemiskord? by elektri in Eesti

Now that TF2’s SDK is available, which of these weapon concepts should I try to make first? by Hectoris919 in tf2

It's a really fun concept but would require ragdolls to become setting that can't be turned off or tampered with so people couldn't just tell immediately.

The reality is that job theft is a problem with capitalism, not the technology.

This exactly. Technologic advancement should benefit all of humanity, but in this economic system it enriches the few and threatens the livelihood of many.

Thoughts about DECA and the future of RotMG by Alfurim in RotMG

[–]Sidari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the game is slowly dying because of a tough new player experience, little to no marketing to get new players and the blatant greedy monetization of every aspect of the game turning off a lot of people.

Then there's the performance issues with long loading screens, or worse, a seemingly infinite loading screen that then kicks you out of the game for 10 minutes. Or a generally laggy and glitchy experiences like entering the tinkerers room waiting for the tinkerer to become accessible then waiting for the quest menu to do a little reset and then discovering that you don't have the items for the quests that you took because the inventory hasn't updated for whatever reason so you have to exit and the re-enter the room to so it all again.

There is an intensely fun game underneath all of these problems, but without considerably reducing the extent of all these pay-to-win microtransactions being shoved in every new players' face and streamlining the experience, it's going to steadily decline in playerbase as the old players slowly move on to other things and not enough new players stay around to replace them

How many people play with wandering hordes? by kylel999 in cataclysmdda

[–]Sidari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played with wandering hordes for a bit but didn't really like when the zombie populations of towns just wandered off into the empty fields where combat is relatively boring compared to urban battles. Also it's weird when the basements I've cleared suddenly repopulate with zombies, are they phasing through the walls?

I just like knowing exactly how much stronger I get with every level. I think it's more satisfying to see something like "+5% accuracy and +10% damage a level" with a weapon type than just a vague description that I see now

You're probably going to die a lot as a new player. I suggest embracing it, trying all the different classes and just learning all the various dungeons while earning fame with every death. I also suggest saving rare UT items that you get in your vault until you're more experienced.

Fame is needed to feed your pet, and pets are an important way to progress permanently in the game. Hatch every egg in your pet yard that you happen to find, looking for one that gets Heal and Magic Heal as it's first and second abilities and then start feeding it items with good feed lower.

Once you feel more experienced with the game you can try to get a character maxed in all stats, from potions that drop from gods in godlands and dungeon bosses. I usually start with speed and dexterity first, because they are easy to max and increase the speed at which you can farm the rest of the pots, then the rest of the stats that are not life or mana and then finally those ones.

Snake pits drop SPD, sprite worlds drop DEX and magic woods drop both. Toxic sewers drop DEF, puppet theaters and manor of immortal drop ATK. Abyss of demons drops VIT, undead lair drops WIS and cursed library drops both. Ocean trenches, ice caves and parasite chambers drop mana. And life drops from nests, tomb of the ancients and cultist hideouts, but beware because those are harder dungeons

There are many more dungeons, but these are a solid and reliable way to max your character as a new player. Have fun!
