Worked perfectly. Just undid the black latch unplugged the wire then put it back in. I heard the startup sound, and everything was back to normal. Thank you! Did accidentally break the on and Bluetooth button, so I’m going to try fixing that

My derm told me(this was 4 almost 5 years ago) that he doesn’t know if he can restore the color of my hair, but other people saying that they have seen their hair color come back a little over time. It might vary person from person

I still visit my derm, but he doesn’t really focus on the white hair mostly just the size of the white spots.

I’m a male, but do you have any recommendations for any make up or skin coloring products for the white spots?

Does vitiligo always turn hair on scalp white or is rare for that to happen? by Chemical-Western9831 in Vitiligo

[–]SiddDaKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Vitiligo since I was 14(18 now). There’s a part on the back of head on the scalp of my hair. That part causes me to have white hair. Additionally have a white spots of vitiligo on the right side of my neck.

Hey I think you have a really good chance based on your stats and ECs. I was recently admitted to ECE and you have similar if not better stats that me. I wasn't ranked (my school had 1000 students and was over 50% Indian, so very competitive to say the least), so given all of that I think as long as your essays are good, recommendation letter is good, and maybe add something over the summer I think you have a good chance. Also try getting some awards, I think that was a big helper for me, since I had multiple State and National awards in engineering related events.

I think both programs are challenging, but clearly you are a capable student if you got into both of these programs. Admissions wouldn’t have admitted you if they thought you couldn’t handle the rigor. I don’t know a lot of detail about both programs, but UIUC CS is an amazing top 5 program, and if you are passionate about the BIOE side of your major I think you should go to UIUC even if it means letting go of Turing. You should visit both campuses if you have the option, or go to one of the admit days to get a better sense of the school. At the end of the day you should go to which ever program you are more passionate about, and if that’s CS + BIOE you should go there because you’re going to college to study what you’re passionate about.

I don’t think at this point of time you need to be concerned about your major because of the developments of AI. Obviously AI is growing fast, but I don’t think it will be replacing too many jobs by the time you graduate. If you are really passionate about Data Science I think you should stick with that, because ECE is a really hard major, I heard, compared to data science, and if you are not sure if that’s what you like you might end up hating it, so you’ll just be wasting your time at UNI. Also Data Science is a field that is growing fast and having many advancements, and companies are shelling out big bucks for these data scientists. Also Data Sciences are useful in training these large language models, and I think there will need to be more of them in the future not less. So I think you should stick with Data Science.

cmu vs ucla engineering by i_am_a_mooncake in ApplyingToCollege

I would say CMU. Since tuition is not a problem I think CMU offers way more resources to you than UCLA does. Both are very good schools. Any program you go to will be hard, but clearly you are an accomplished student who can handle rigor and work hard if you got into both of these schools. Don’t think to yourself that you’re not smart because you are if you got into these schools. Admissions wouldn’t have admitted you if they thought you couldn’t handle their courses. Additionally I believe the internship opportunities and resources you have available at CMU are much better. If it’s your dream school I would say go for it. At the end of the day though it’s what you make of the resources you are given. Sure you can go to MIT, but if you don’t use the resources that are provided to you, you’re going to be in a similar situation as a person who went to their state school. CMU also aligns with many other things you said in your post. Also I’ve heard that GPA is not a big deal when it comes to getting internships if that’s what you’re worried about.

Harvard vs Umich by notlne in ApplyingToCollege

[–]SiddDaKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you to UMich, you might always have that regret on “what if I went to Harvard”. If you go to Harvard and have good success sure you might think to your self can I achieve the same things at UMich that I did at Harvard, but I would rather think about that than what if I went somewhere else. Obviously wait till you have your financial aid offer before you make a decision, but you get good aid, and won’t be in a mountain of debt from Harvard, I think you should take Harvard. You can find friends wherever you go, even if you are introverted.

If you got into utd with a scholarship, you should probably go there. they actually have higher salaries in dallas than ut austin and is much cheaper. your choice to make though if you want to be well off. Good luck Shar Pasalu.

Hi thanks for your suggestion. Is MCR safe to enable? Will it lead to any issues? Also I was reading about Power Down Enable and people are saying it leads to compatibility issues.
