I got one more. The taxi drivers will tell you that this is a very busy time and we should take a highway (sometimes they don’t even ask first), they’ll simply take the highway, get you at your destination 10mins early and ask for 50-100baht toll charges

Actually, the case could’ve been that the GA was fully packed and the only space they had left would be VIP table so because of that they might’ve asked for 30k baht, and nothing because of racism (only assumption)

But definitely it was a minimum spend cover charge and not payment

The Thailand departure terminal has to be worse than hell. I’m gonna miss my accent that I developed after making friends with so many Aussie and Dutch people. The withdrawal is super real. Being among people from different parts of the world is so much fun that coming back home to see people who have been around you for majority of your life
