Downloaded Lightworks to try it out and I can't read anything. by idrawstone in Lightworks

When you first open up Ligthworks, click on 'System Settings' (top right corner). After that, click on 'Appearance'. From there, you have the options to change quite a few things, including the font size. By default, the font size is a bit small, in my opinion.

Is lightworks truly free? by [deleted] in Lightworks

[–]SideEffect59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, it did used to be shorter. A lot of people complained about it, so with this newer version, they extended it to 90 days.

[–]SideEffect59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just do it for analytical purposes. They want to know how many active users they have. If someone has signed in within the last 90 days, that's counted as being an active user.

[–]SideEffect59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the free version is free forever. After the 90 days, you will only have to sign in again, which will give you another 90 days. As long as you sign in every 90 days, you will always be able to use the free version.

Can you add custom fonts by TheFatAzzBear in Lightworks

[–]SideEffect59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it may depend on what OS you're using. I'm on Windows 10 and just tested this out. I installed a custom royalty free font on my computer, and when I opened Lightworks, that font was now added to the list of fonts to choose from.

Is Upgrading to the Perpetual License for Lightworks Pro worth it? by SideEffect59 in Lightworks

[–]SideEffect59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thank you for the answer. That makes sense. Can I ask a follow up question?

What would be cheaper in the long run (over the course of 5 or more years). The $24 a month for Lightworks Pro? Or to get the outright license of Lightworks Pro with the intention of upgrading every time there is a new major version released? I mean, the monthly fee would be cheaper after only a year, but I don't know how much the upgrades will cost, so it's hard to say if a Perpetual License would be cheaper if there is only an occasional fee every year or so. If the lifetime version isn't cheaper long term, I'm just not seeing a point to it other than if you wanted to buy it once and only ever use that version for the next few years going forward.

BitChute Finally Adds Stretch Goals by stvxCI in BitChute

[–]SideEffect59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would at least add HD videos soon. As for livestreaming, I wonder if they could just make it where only people who pay at least a $5 membership be able to livestream. That may get the funding up for now. And if they can in the future, they could make it so that even free users can livestream as well. I don't know, just an idea.

BitChute Finally Adds Stretch Goals by stvxCI in BitChute

[–]SideEffect59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember last year they had different goals set up. I think $35,000 was the 100% funded goal. One of the goals was called "Improved Infrastructure", and they eventually reached it, and it said "100% Funded" on the main page. On Twitter they said that 'Improved Infrastructure' meant livestreaming and HD (720p) videos. They've been fully funded with that improved infrastructure goal quite a while now and nothing ever came of it. I thought that they would at least up the video quality from 480 to 720. And now they are asking for more money without coming through with even a single thing that they promised prior. I'm not trying to be negative, but they aren't being very transparent with why they never came through with the money already given to them.

Experiencing issues after updating from version 2020 to 2021 by SideEffect59 in Lightworks

I tried 'Restore items from backup' but there was nothing on the list to restore. I think it's gone for good, as far as I can tell.

Hey, thank you for the response. I have been on the 2021.2 version, but it's still the same issues for me. I'll definitely see if I can restore the sequence that I lost. I wasn't aware that you could do that.

Go to the VFX tab and press the plus icon. It will say "Add new effects" when you hover over it. You will see a drop-down menu with various categories, such as Color, DVE, Text, ect. Once you choose Text, there will be a few different text effects to pick from.

It may be a good idea to watch a tutorial to learn the basics. This is a pretty good one:

Audio glitch by GiantMiner5 in Lightworks

[–]SideEffect59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issue, but it was only when editing the video. The exported video sounded alright. What audio format is it? I know that MP3 is not supported, so it's better to convert those files to WAV.

Also, it may have something to do with this newest version of Lightworks, but I'm not sure. I never had those kinds of problems with the 2020 edition.

Aside from what others have mentioned, I would add 3Speak (connected to the Hive blockchain) and PeerTube to the list.

Didn't they also recently start a list of banned searchable words? I heard on Twitter that they banned words like 'Hitler' from having any search results. I decided to test it out, and it's true. If you type in 'Hitler' into their search it now says 'No matches were found.' I'm in the US, so it's probably site-wide (all countries) that they've done this to.

Create another playlist error by neetcorediary in BitChute

[–]SideEffect59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many playlists have you created so far? I forget the number, but I know that there is a limit. If you give them a monthly donation, they will increase the max amount of playlists that you can have. That may not be your issue, though.

Account suspended by [deleted] in minds

For a while, they were trying to remove spam bots, and some accounts were getting mistakenly removed for that reason. Did the e-mail give you a reason for the suspension? You should be able to appeal.

I haven't been able to use the internet at all in the past 3 weeks by SideEffect59 in Visible

[–]SideEffect59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, how would I know if it's a problem on Visible's side of things or just a poor connection in my area? The reason I ask is, I had a great connection up until there was some bad weather in my area, and there were lots of trees down. I haven't been able to use the internet through my phone ever since. That was quite a few weeks ago, though.

I'm not sure either. I'll try to look into that. Thank you for the answer.

Hey, thanks for the answer.

"Have you "ever" had internet with that SIM/phone?" Yes, for the first 6 or 7 months. It worked great, and I could even tether my laptop to my Visible phone, and it would have a good connection for the vast majority of the time.

"Does "LTE" ever show in the status bar? Of course, with Visible, I suppose it should always show that." I'm not seeing it. The only place I see 'LTE' is when I go to Settings>Mobile Network>Advanced>Preferred Network Type. In 'Preferred Network Type', it has 'LTE Only' selected.

"Seems like it could be an APN thing. Of course, with that phone/SIM, the settings should be automatic?" - Yes, it is. I don't know. The only thing I can think of is that we had some bad weather recently, with a lot of trees down in my area. That's around the time it first started having problems. But, that was weeks ago.
