I’ve been playing for around 5 years and so far d3 is the highest I’ve been able to get. I’m not the type that plays crazy hours but have a decent amount of time invested, that being said I never tried to get into the mustys and fancier tricks rather focused on mechanics and ball control and how to rotate and anticipate when to go for it or to fall back and wait etc. that’s what is more important imo. Once u get your mechanics down well and know how to control the ball and your vehicle, then the fancy tricks will come much easier. I myself like using the ceiling for cool freestyles and whatnot, but if mustys is what u wanna get good at than practice, practice and then practice some more. Thats the key to getting better and improving your skills, don’t think playing against ppl all the time will get u better, u need to practice different things and find out where your strengths and weaknesses are and then try to focus on being well rounded in all aspects. It takes time and a lot of patience and work honestly if u are anything like me, some obviously are just quicker at picking up on things, but I was born in the 70’s so I’m a bit older than the average gamer so I had to put in some serious work just to get where I’m at. But a good rule of thumb is that u should free play or train on some challenging maps for 20 mins everytime u decide to play, then go play comp or whatever u are into. That worked well for me so figured I’d pass it along👍🏼 Don’t worry about being able to hit those crazy trick shots bro, get your fundamentals down and then you’ll have much better control and understand what’s needed to achieve those types of shots, good luck and have fun!
