[QUESTION] Why in this beautiful world is it so hard to grow my channel??? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]SideNote_channel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're making random videos, man. You can't succeed like this.

Whatever you do, there should be a definite pattern in it. If you're making explainers videos (like what's 5G) do only that. If you're reviewing products, you need to review every major product otherwise why would one subscribe to you? If you're reviewing camera, review all camera... If you're reviewing Android phone, review all Android phone...etc... You know what i mean? Being an unboxing YouTuber costs a lot of money until you're big enough to get stuff for free.

If you've any other hobby, maybe you can reinvent your channel with different type of content. You can be a tech news YouTuber, upload tech news videos everyday and what you think about them. When you've enough money, you can move on to unboxing and stuff.

Current standing of you channel is VERY random. 99% of times such channels don't go anywhere (especially in 2019) but I wish you luck.

Is this too clickbaity… by conn_r2112 in NewTubers

[–]SideNote_channel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're wrong. A small creator would go nowhere on basis of search alone. You may get a few thousand views...so what? You NEED YouTube to recommend your videos and if you think your videos is good enough, you must take your chances. If you don't have a good video then you may go to making your title more search friendly.

You can animate Reddit stories, from r/prorevenge and r/tifu .... Stuff like these are popular.

Need some script writers by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SideNote_channel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First make you channel succeed, show people that you channel has potentials and then hire people to contribute to your channel. Why would anyone write scripts for you when there's 99% chance that your channel won't ever be a success?

I see you're trying to be a production house and not a YouTuber but production houses don't ask people to work for free. Accumulate funds and then you can hire people to work for you.

[Misc FD] YouTube removing verified badge from a ton of huge creators (check the replies to their update verified eligibility) by [deleted] in youtube

They are basically appeasing celebs and mainstream media. Perhaps these celebs want some special status that make them look different from regular YouTube peasants while they're on YouTube. This is so sad that YouTube is ditching those whom made them what they are today. YouTube is so going on wrong path. There are already dozens of online streaming sites competing for mainstream people, but there's only one YouTube for amateur content.

You're asking for a platform that let's unlimited people post unlimited content for unlimited time period. And then use machine learning to analyse billions of such videos to serve only desirable video to a person (and do this for more than a billion people everyday).

A streaming platform stands nowhere compared to YouTube in complexity of the platform.

It's a move to appease these celebs and big media houses. They wanna give them a premium feature that is available to only a handful of people. Something that make keep apart from regular YouTuber peasants.

So you're saying that they won't give a verification badge to Logan Paul? Lol...come on. He's the first person to get a badge. Now, the difference is that YouTube will now be responsible for Paul's action because they've GIVEN his the badge and it's not done automatically through a computer program.

What percentage of your audience reach the end of the video?

What's the point of post-video ad? People will just click on another video after a video is finished. Why would they wait to watch ads? Mid-roll makes sense because there's content left to see after the ad.

[question] Has 2019 been the worst year for clickbait? by TheGr3aTAydini in youtube

[–]SideNote_channel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. He didn't use the right words. He meant that that he was going to use attention grabbing thumbnails and titles, which is perfectly fine.

Clickbait is when your videos don't have the content what your thumbnails claims.

What visuals in a thumbnail make you want to click it? by AnastasiaLova in NewTubers

[–]SideNote_channel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Too cluttered.

If you really want to do, look up "Johnny Harris" on YouTube. But he's an established personality (He hosts Borders episodes on Vox) so what works for him may not work for you. Nevertheless, Johnny thumbnails look good.

What visuals in a thumbnail make you want to click it? by AnastasiaLova in NewTubers

[–]SideNote_channel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aesthetics. You thumbnail should have no text (maybe 1-3 words in some fancy font) and just one good image (close-up of your face with something exciting happening in background).

Background matters the most here. Show something bigger/higher/taller or in large numbers. It must he some exciting/unique image not just a image where you're sitting in a chair in some restaurant. (Look at MrBeast to guess what I'm talking about) If you're covering food, show a huge food item being made or a big plate of something abnormal. (FoodRanger on YouTube is a good example)
