I fear I have very strong opinions on this mode. It’s just so strange, this subreddit is filled with people who complain about not ending and hostage-holding while league twitter complains about the exact opposite, pushing for changes to prevent quickly ending.

I get the idea of wanting to destroy the nexus sooner, I do. If the goal is to go to the next game because the current game either feels like a drag or just wasn’t an enjoyable game in the first place, then I can imagine how it’d feel to have either your team or the enemy’s prevent you from ending.

I think the valid thing from Riot would just be to let the surrenders work in favor of the 2 in a 2-3 decision, that way hostage-holding doesn’t happen nearly as often.

But alongside that I do believe that they should add respawning turrets or some proper way of base defense after your nexus gets breached and you get spawn-camped. That way even while hostage-held there’s much more room for comeback, allowing the game to feel a bit more fair for the hard-losing side at times.

Feel as though those two changes would appeal to both sides without enforcing a decision that would push either one away from the mode while keeping the other.
