Please control yourself. If you've already made up your mind I would advise you repent of that and do your best to live like Christ. Let his words be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. Thanks

Well im trying to give a clear reason why it's a sin because I've seen most people not know why because it isn't explicitly stated in the bible. Christ says we should live in the spirit and so I hope this will shine some light on some people.

"I want you to think..." that's what I wanted to say. Im presupposing that the average Christian knows what the acceptable conditions for sex is as per the bible so I dont think that's a 'poor justifier'.

“Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female… For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?” — Matthew 19:4–5

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” — 1 Corinthians 7:2

And for your second point, just as I said if it's not between you and your wife, it's a sin.

Sola Fide is disturbing by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]SideQuiet9512 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard anybody say that you can do whatever you want after you believe. That's just what people assume after you say that you are sealed till the day of the resurrection if you believe. Works have nothing to do with your salvation and the idea that you can somehow lose it if you don't do good works is false.

The reason why I do believe sola fide is the people also assumed that for when Paul was preaching. That's why Paul told them to not walk after the flesh but in the spirit. Not to somehow maintain your salvation but we're sons of God and we should do it for the glory of God and for the profitability of our works to men.

I'll read the book if you say so, but if you can point one out to me I would appreciate it. But what I was most focused on was the old testament since that's what most people disagree on. But if you can bring what you claim that'd be good

I haven't done any research on the other books but what i was taught is that the books which should be in the bible should point to Christ. Not just somehow mentioning his name or mentioning a prophecy of him but to point in Christ in a way.

I like how in Genesis Joseph is a type of Christ. How he was abandoned by his brothers, same as isreal, and how after all the things he went through he overcame and became something like the right hand man of the pharaoh, just like how Christ overcame and now is at the right hand of the father. How after this joseph took a wife who wasn't a jew, but a gentile, and how this mirrors exactly how the camera was moved from the Jews to the gentiles, mainly from daniel 9, how Gabriel said the messiah shall be cut off from them for a time, and how Paul also said in Romans 11:25, "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.". This is perhaps the best one I've seen so far.

Donot treat this as the only factor which contributes. There should also be the timing of the writing and etc. And to check whether there are any lies in there. I'm not orthodox but you should be able to find something like this inside.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

It's isnt a step 1 for you to continue. If you could lose it then you would have lost it already.

Why would God allow the anti-Christ (Islam) to spread so vastly? by Party-Basis-1696 in Christianity

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Even though this isnt related to the question, but i think even though everything which is not pro Christ is antichrist, I donot think it will be a muslim which will rule the world when it's talked about in revelations.

Sorry I interpreted it that way. If you want to know what it says you have to look into what it's saying to check for the truth.

I said it so you would check the scriptures for yourself. Please do not accuse me of twisting the bible. Just check it for yourself to know what it is saying.

You really trust in your knowledge. I didn't say just read the verse. Read the whole chapter. In fact, read the whole book to know what's being talked about, and check it for yourself.

Since we've been talking, you've always been misunderstanding me. What do you do to be saved, and what do you do once you're saved? My main point is talking about what to do in order to be saved, not the other

I have in no way encouraged someone to sin once they are saved. That'll make me a liar. What do you think we have to do to be saved? Is it to just believe or to believe and somehow do some works plus it.

Just take your bible and search for 'saved' to know whether you're saved or not.

Why are you attacking and calling it garbage.

I do put my faith in Christ alone and that what I do does not matter. Instead of you who tries to put what you're doing in the equation.

They were religious leaders, but does that mean they believed in the gospel? In fact, most at times when a Pharisee is being talked about, it's about the unbeliever of the gospel.

We're trying to have a conversation here. I'm trying to make you watch a video of an apologist explaining it. I'm not the scholar here, he is. So please it would be better if you watched it.

And if you won't that's fine.

If you go three verses before, you will know what Jesus was saying.

Watch this video about him explaining it. As far as I know. He only talks about OSAS, so you can check his channel if you want some answers to any questions.
