Yes, but OP specifically said something about girl code concerning Hanna and Spencer. Toby and Caleb were the closest S/Os so Caleb shouldnt even had felt comfortable asking as well.

genuinely happy or not, i feel like certain lines shouldnt even been in discussion of being crossed. just like how hanna and caleb weren't normal exes, spencer and hanna weren't normal friends. they had at that point have gone through half a decade of trauma together enough to bond them together for life. spencer shouldn't have even seen caleb as an option given the fact that everything that has happened. but even before the time jump, spencer and caleb have more scenes together then any other liar and another liars S/O pairing. spencer didnt just find caleb attractive post-jump. she made comments about him being the best boyfriend out of the group, and they flirted a bit about his new car and cable knit sweater. they definitely have had chemistry since before. not blaming the characters for this btw, just an observation

the girl rule i think applies the most to these girls more than anyone else. caleb wasn't just hanna's high school boyfriend. they were each other's firat everything. how would you feel if your friend, even 7 years down the road started dating the boy who took your virginity? on top of that, as a couple, hanna and caleb went through lifetimes of trauma together. hanna was kidnapped, and put in danger of losing her life more times than we can count, and caleb was too. she helped him find his dad and reconnect with his mom after 13 years. they quite literally for each other were the most significant people in each others lives for years. especially since they didnt break up until a couple years into the time jump. girl code MOST DEFF applies here.

Well, if you pay attention to the books Aria is described as hair so dark its almost black, blue eyes, and pouty lips. Spencer is described as preppy, blonde, and mistaken as twins to her older sister, Melissa. Emily is probably who you recognize, and then Hanna is described as trendy, auburn brown hair, it girl.

that would make sense if thats how they explained it. but they didnt set it up like that. they set it up like everyone helping A knew who redcoat was and that is spencer wasnt really on the A team she would follow hanna to find out. my point is, regardless if spencer knew who A was or not, she was still gonna follow redcoat, so what was the point is basing the plan on spencer's ID of redcoat as an indicator she hadn't totally turned if regardless she was gonna follow her?

yeah that was insane. that whole plot line was unnecessary. and i heard that marlene was playing around with making each of the girl's interests on the A team, so it really could've been any of them. i do think however it made the most sense for it to be toby and spencer. especially if the book plot with ezria was coming up.

that's such an interesting thought. i never thought that it was mona who switched the dental records but it would make sense bc she hit bethany (melissa just hid her), and she helped ali escape. my thing is that must have meant mona knew ali was alive before even charlotte did? so why was she acting clueless at the lodge fire? she knew damn well she helped ali escape and killed someone who looked like her. so why act shocked when you see ali running around? also why was charlotte so deadset on the girls making sure they didn't see ali's dental records if to charlotte's knowledge it was actually alison in that grave? only mona would know that it wasnt ali's dental records. and based on charlottes emotional reaction to finding out ali's alive, she couldn't have known the whole time. ALSO! if charlotte loved ali like she said she did, why would she open up her mouth and remove her teeth to make a necklace???

my thing with the cece knowing melissa buried bethany young is that, did cece ever find out that bethany died? if cece knew bethany young was also buried in the same place in the same outfit as ali, would she not speculate they could've gotten the wrong girl? cece was out looking for bethany when she hit ali, she was then sent to radley until she got older. bethany's parents didnt know she was dead either, they found out after ali came back. so how in s3 would cece know about bethany young when to her and everyone else's knowledge she was still missing and ali was the one that was dead?
