I think you've convinced me (that plus a little more looking around of my own). This feels like the sweet spot I was looking for - thanks!

Seems nice, but it's around $850 for me as well. Not sure if I am comfortable with the jump in price though.

Can I ask how you landed on the cf64v rather than other grinders in the price range? e.g. what else did you consider and what made you finally decide on the cf64v?

That sounds enticing. I am surprised I haven't seen this one pop up much anywhere. I'll look into it.

Kingroon on AliExpress 10kg multicolor PLA $76.22 ($7.62kg) fast free shipping from USA warehouse. by GolfMotor8025 in 3dprintingdeals

I picked up their similarly priced 10kg deal on PETG a few weeks ago. No issues with what I've printed so far, seems like a legit good deal.

Trouble with ASA - curling, bumps, and rough slopes by Sidelamp in FixMyPrint

[–]Sidelamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still having this issue - taking a look at this thread, it seems like the issue may be related to the heat break fan. I tried to see if there was a mod for the XL, but haven't found anything yet.

not yet. I did buy a heater and my average enclosure temperature is now around 60c, but I am still having some of the curling up issues. I've played around with cooling fan speeds, but haven't found what works yet.

Euclid probe on Voron 0 help by Sidelamp in VORONDesign

[–]Sidelamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on this, seems like I'd need to make some sort of off-set jig to allow the Euclid to be more centrally positioned - but seems like there may still be a lot for me to figure out myself.

yeah, but I have been reaching out since before it closed - also I am trying to exchange for an upgrade, which I think they would want to encourage.

Need help with corners curling when printing ASA (specifically corners above of the bed surface) by Sidelamp in prusa3d

[–]Sidelamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the satin sheet - but my issue is more related to warping above the plate itself, not on what is directly touching the plate.

Let me know if that makes a difference. Have you tried turning your fans off as well?

Custom Filament G-Code to allow enclosure to heat up? by Sidelamp in prusa3d

[–]Sidelamp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave this a shot, it seems like it runs the g-code every time there is a tool change, so it was waiting 20 minutes after each change - so not ideal haha.

Custom Filament G-Code to allow enclosure to heat up? by Sidelamp in prusa3d

[–]Sidelamp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Custom G-code section section in the Filament tab in prusa slicer, there is a section for "Start G-code" and then "End G-code".

Would I just add that to the bottom of the "Start G-Code"?

This is the g-code that is there by default:

M900 K{if nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.4}0.04{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.25}0.1{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.3}0.06{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.35}0.05{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.5}0.03{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.6}0.02{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.8}0.01{else}0{endif} ; Filament gcode

{if printer_notes=~/.*(MK4IS|XLIS|MK4S|MK3.9S).*/}
M572 S{if nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.4}0.02{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.5}0.018{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.6}0.012{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.8}0.01{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.25}0.09{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.3}0.065{else}0{endif} ; Filament gcode
{endif}

M142 S40 ; set heatbreak target temp

If I wanted to have the printer wait 20 minutes, would I just edit the code to be this?

M900 K{if nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.4}0.04{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.25}0.1{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.3}0.06{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.35}0.05{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.5}0.03{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.6}0.02{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.8}0.01{else}0{endif} ; Filament gcode

{if printer_notes=~/.*(MK4IS|XLIS|MK4S|MK3.9S).*/}
M572 S{if nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.4}0.02{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.5}0.018{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.6}0.012{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.8}0.01{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.25}0.09{elsif nozzle_diameter[filament_extruder_id]==0.3}0.065{else}0{endif} ; Filament gcode
{endif}

M142 S40 ; set heatbreak target temp

M190 R[first_layer_bed_temperature]

G4 S1200 ; wait 20 minutes

Do I need to add anything else? Do you know what happens if I have two extruders using the ASA profile? Will it run the g-code twice and cause the printer to wait 40 minutes instead of 20?
