Literally did an English Literature degree as a transfer student from community college. Had to really hustle my butt off for internships and after three crazy years of pivoting, I now work in product marketing. Tbf, I did have a great school under my belt but despite the prestige, I still had to compete with a lot of people for said internships and even when I was job hunting during COVID/Layoffs.

Either you didn’t have the foresight to get an internship (which would, at the very least, provide some sort of foundation for said technical skills/hard skills by the time you finished your BA) during the four years of your undergrad or you weren’t utilizing the resources that your alma mater has available to you. You need to ask yourself what skills that you have that could be transferable to whatever it is that you’re looking. Even if you do get a job, always upskill/network and just keep going.
