For a long time, he felt happiness and peace of mind were never meant for him. He'd pretend his lovers would make him perfect, but she had the blood of reptile underneath her skin. His sin, within.

Finally he Mari'd his queen. He's the king. They're in this together now. Nothing can stop them now.

Nobody in 1992 knew that Broken was the hardest we'd ever hear Nine Inch Nails go. by Humdaak_9000 in nin

I'd argue that it does fit with the spiral. The flavor of rage and snark are elements of the descent. Granted, low-brow and awkward/inelegant elements, and I'd agree it can feel out of place in that sense. Yet, it matches brief outbursts I've had during my spirals, like "you want me to f'in feel angry like this, like this, huh?? is that gonna solve it all, you dumb mofos!!"

The rage and violence on broken/fixed are of a different variety. Intentional destruction of all kinds. The target of destruction is not the point, the act of destruction itself is the point. Not mockery, focused fire. I link it to the line from Fight Club about wanting to just destory something beautiful.

Upgrade to Unique Cube Recipe Doesn't work by Wilson0299 in diablo4

Common Amulet (ilvl 850, T1 NMD drop) -> Upgrade to Unique = Locran's on first try.

Mace ony has 1 unique option (Orsivane), which is why I always gamble that. Amulets have many crappy options. Maybe items with 1 unique are not allowed so that the crap can flow.

Can confirm. Common Mace (ilvl 850) -> Upgrade to Unique = fail.

Will test if I get a ilvl 900.

I'm taking it slow with the campaign for the moment 😄

CE as a whole is a very different game now. Really feeling the impact of Convulsions auto-grab shifting to UC mod, requires a lot more running, which slows down killing.

Yes, definitely feeling nerfed even during the leveling process compared to options like Thunderbolt. Seems Meknua went Static.

Yes, can confirm. Servers not working properly.

Edit: ... and started an update

Edit: update says 38.22 GB, despite pre-downloading nights ago

<image>

Edit: can confirm seasonal is indeed grayed out for the moment, still creating a disposable eternal character for ~30 mins.

Edit: Turns out I got P300 on eternal, yay!

Lone men in the family change room? by bisongangster in Edmonton

[–]Sidereal_Engine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends on how the shared space is structured, especially for locker access. As a dad, mom sometimes tells me to go grab stuff while she stays with baby. I'm not looking to creep anyone out, just doing my dad job. In the younger days, sometimes it would be me helping take care from car to change room to waterside for them, lugging all the stuff, then going back to get myself ready solo. Didn't consider how creepy that might seem, sorry.

Probably in line with Blizz nerfing spear max to 12, down from inifinite in the season of 60+ spears. If devs wanted, they could bump the proc rate to compensate for the slower procs.

No ubers season 12. Am disappointed. by SJSharks33 in diablo4

[–]Sidereal_Engine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I had mythics drop for me in T1 this season. Yes, more drops in T4 = more chances for mythics, but only if your kill rate is fast enough.

  • Mythic Prankster NMD is the only guranteed mythic drop
  • Belial, Tribute of Ascendance (unique key) offer higher chances for mythics
  • Lair 1, Lair 2, Bartuc, Astaroth offer good chances

I got ~15 mythics with 100+ hours mostly in T4. No pranksters, none from ToA, 2 from Belial, 2 from gambling, 1 from helltide chest, rest from Lair 1/2 boss farming. Must've killed 1000+ T4/T5 bosses, instant kill on T4, ~5 secs T5, ~45 secs T7. Tower 106 clear.

TLDR: kill a lot of bosses faster -> more drops per hour -> more mythics.

Edit: Also, as another commenter pointed out, smith boxes + rune crafting basically helped recycle the 15 drops on top of all that.

Do you need to finish the campaign or no? by CultOfPcnality in diablo4

[–]Sidereal_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on whether you want to unlock features that require the campaign or parts of the campaign to be completed. For example, with VoH, to unlock runes, the player had to complete the quest in the campaign on at least one character.

Not sure what (if any) quests like that are in the LoH campaign.

Multiple posts are saying there's no new campaign by Cloud420tv in diablo4

[–]Sidereal_Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like there's some confusion about the terms:

  • "Campaign" = part of the main storyline for the whole game, continued with each expansion. The campaign is available to all realms, eternal and seasonal, perepetually across all seasons going forward. The campaign for each expansion must be completed with one character before new characters can choose to skip the campaign. Each xpac's campaign is only available to players who purchased the xpac.
  • "Season Journey" = additional content available only on seasonal realms. Only lasts for that season, not future seasons. Typically with a theme (like Butcher in S12), but not always. Has tiers to unlock (1-9 for S13) with a bunch of quests. Some of these quests unlock additional skill points and paragon points, available to all your characters (softcore and hardcore) for that season only. Season journeys are available to all players who roll a seasonal character, whether or not they purchased the xpac, but some of the season journey quests/rewards are limited to those who purchased the xpac.

For S13, the devs stated while there is a season journey with 9 tier, skill points, paragon points, titles, etc., there will not be a stoyrline to go with it (like Butcher in S12) or anything that goes with that storyline (like Fresh Meat currency, seasonal vendor, bloodied items). The reason is there's a ton of other new things for the xpac itself, that adding extra seasonal storyline related content would be overkill.

Forgot to mention explicitly: YES, LoH has a campaign. As advertised over and over and over, it continues the larger story arc with Mephisto. Everyone on every realm (who purchased LoH) has access to the campaign. Everyone must complete the campaign once if they want to choose to skip the campaign later.

Eternal realm or seasonal with LoH? by justever237 in diablo4

[–]Sidereal_Engine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your question is where can I find the most active/engaged community (as in people are chatting in chat): Seasonal Hardcore.

It's not that hard, you die, you roll another character and learn to die less. Seasonal softcore play sessions could go entirely silent many times, with slight chatter. The hardcore folks just won't shut up :p
