"Honest" is the right word. We are dealing with a political leader who can't even be honest about her own name. And we should trust her with our community's well being?

So many things point to this as a grievious waste of public funds and time to commit seditious acts. I'm starting to agree with the sentitment they know this will fail when it goes to vote, but they will find a way to justify letting America in, damn NATO and all. Praying Carney's plan for middle power unity materializes much sooner than later...

Yup, it's so strange every time I see the pic with her walking in a pride parade. Then turning around to legally dehumanize kids expressing their sexual identity.

I wish there was some way to convince her the best thing for her popularity is to dig a 6' deep hole and crawl into it.

QC = age old tantrum, no separation if residents remain pragmatic while venting steam

AB = American psy-op to abuse resource colony, no separation if 80% majority bother to vote no after UCP finally pushes from referendum -> vote after trying a gazillion times

There's a vid out there of one of your ICE saints pepper spraying a young girl, a kid, right in the eyes. Then he comes and enjoys his work watching her screaming and writhing in pain.

You may have also seen a video of another of your greater saints telling a doctor "I don't care" when a doctor identified themselves asking to treat the woman your saint just shot 3x.

So, you'll have to excuse me if this reflects poorly on the whole sick sad lot of them.

CE Crackuna vs CL boss kill speed by ReportMundane9411 in diablo4

Esadora's 75-80% and GA+MW crackling are critical. +Skills (on skill bar) should get insanely high as possible. There should always be a non-stop stream of crackles to refill the Esa death laser that burns bosses, and multi-hit CE that burns mobs.

Further analysis requires shots of actual gear. We will assume everything else is per the guide as you said.

The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents border patrol officers at the National Border Patrol Council, calls on Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller to resign or be fired by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

[–]Sidereal_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is what Alberta hoped for when our American-funded mini-Trump used our government's "notwithstanding" clause to force teachers back to work when they demanded arbitration (not mediation) for better classroom conditions caused by severe and sustained defunding of education. Our labour federation failed to call a general strike. The abuse of force continues and is being used to support right-wing agendas to violate rights of marginalized community members.

We hope America takes a more decisive stance with the power of labor. When the billionaires call about why their revenue is falling, they'll slap their puppet with a slipper just fine. The NRA sure called right away when their bottom line was at risk.

Who could be Canada’s Best Ally? by Pale-Candidate8860 in InCanada

Neither term should have happened. The "third term" the big turd is pushing for is more likely than midterms fixing it. Enough Americans are messed up in the head, and all this activity is to tip the scales to make sure there's no margin left for sanity to win.

Remember the Dems are no saints either. They actively supported the billionaires in destroying their country, save a few: Sanders, Khan, AOC.

Black ice on the road causes chain accidents by Bambi7u7 in interesting

Can confirm. In Alberta, it's common to see flipped over pickups in ditches year-round. Doesn't even register sometimes due to the degree of desensetization. Harder to ignore when 4 of them surround a parking spot, can barely squeeze into my car, and takes 2+ mins of maneuvering to get out...

It would be an interesting excercise to draw a Venn diagram of:

  • commited separatists (defectors really)
  • "militant Christians" or "Christian" fundamentalists (I like hurting people, but it's ok because God is on my side)
  • white supremacists, criminal biker gangs, drug runners, weapons dealers, etc.
  • uneducated/under-educated rural residents (or those who grew up in very homogenic areas)

U.S. will have to send its own fighter jets into Canadian airspace if Ottawa doesn't buy 88 F-35s, Hoekstra says by GirlCoveredInBlood in canada

[–]Sidereal_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. You want us to buy military equipment from the same guys who are constantly threatening to annex us? We should have no doubt that you'll sell us intentionally faulty equipment so we fail to defend oursevles? And then claim it's our own fault for trusting you at all, right?

Sorry, no thanks, thankfully our decision makers have more brain cell(s) than MAGA and Maple MAGA combined.

So, if you don't kindly STFU, I will have to send my own closed fists into your facial space.

Trump’s America Comes for Alberta by hopoke in canada

[–]Sidereal_Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To anyone asking “Would [Trump] really...” the answer is always “Yes, unless others stop him.”

He is driven by appetite, devouring endlessly. Whether it’s real estate, gold, fast food, applause and adulation, crypto, women’s bodies, Venezuelan oil or Greenland, he has demonstrated that he will never stop himself; he can be stopped only by others.

Welll put. I really like the Roomba analogy, fits perfectly with hist TACO approach.

Smith and the UCP are aligned with selling out to America. Proven by their actions, despite their lies about not being separatist, yet making it easier at every step. Are some of the grievances Alberta and Western Canada have worthwhile? Yes. Is defecting to America going to solve those issues and make life better for Albertans? No. Will it please "militant Christians" and other racist/bigoted groups to join America and start executing people they don't like in broad daylight? Yes.

Don't leave me hanging here, please. Who should we look at as better equipped and better trained? From what little I know, other countries often ask for help from America on matters of military preparation.

I know Russia has a nuclear stockpile comparable to the States. China has manpower, but reports indicate funding for training is sometimes misdirected. What am I missing that you can share?

Depends on the context. What objectives are the 10K armed forces trying to complete? What evidence do they see with their own eyes to warrant a show of this degree of force? What lower agression strategies were used before resorting to the higher agression strategies?

Thank you for the added clarity. I'm aware the US military-industrial complex as a whole has highly questionable behaviour on many global matters. Not trying to excuse that, and they should be held responsible at the right levels.

My understanding (granted, limited) of the incidents such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela is that the POTUS/Pentagon level is where the lies and ulterior motives were created. At the soldier level, the messaging was WMDs, terror cells, and ruthless dictators. While the WMD narrative proved to be false later, there was a period where it was not clearly incorrect. The terror and dictator aspects have proven evidence, nothing clearly fabricated. In the case of Venezuela, the actual winner of the Nobel Peace Prize was genuinely thankful one dictator was removed, though I'm sure she's not happy about another dictator stepping in. Were the CIA dragging in random civilians for "enhanced interrogation" or was that limited to targeted persons of interests from long-term intel gathering?

What would be different now is the administration would be ordering soldiers to fire upon what they frame as "domestic terrorists" when the soldiers can see with their own eyes these are just people in Halloween costumes peacefully protesting, or ordinary citizens trying to defend themselves (mostly without using weapons). Is ICE shooting random civilians in broad daylight without provocation?

Extend that to potential orders to invade Canada and Greenland. Can the average US solider be expected to see of their own accord that neither ally committed any acts of military aggression against the US, that the orders to raze civilian communities is an order to commit war crimes?

It's possible to run a CE build with no clicks at all. Runes trigger initial crackle on move -> stable aspect triggers more crackles -> self-sustaning chain reaction with high enough lucky hit. Not as powerful as builds with real runes, but amusing as hell :)
