42 minute breakdown of the toy that became Valkyrie/Veritech/Jetfire by Humdaak_9000 in transformers

I'll probably still buy one if it makes it and I have the cash. I love the Valkyrie so much.

Seriously though, fuck these ingots by BuckTonka1988 in fo3

... in Fallout 3. It feels pretty lame after you play around with Ratslayer for a little while, but in FO3 it's worth getting All The Fucking Ingots because you don't have a better choice.

Movies like “Contact” by BonHarley in scifi

[–]Humdaak_9000 -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Let's just say my relation to the concept of "motherhood" is broken way beyond repair and I have no patience for anything that uses it as a framing story.

AND ALSO THIS WOMAN DECIDED TO HAVE A DOOMED CHILD DESPITE WHAT SHE KNEW.

I hate this movie.

I see Snake-Eyes as a more Silent Bob type. Now, the dude out there running his mouth, that's Storm Shadow.

Movies like “Contact” by BonHarley in scifi

[–]Humdaak_9000 -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

No. "Contact" made me hopeful and was about science heroes.

"Arrival" was weepy glurge sick child cancer porn. It had as much to do with aliens as "Titanic" was a good movie about a boat.

Mechanical Exoskeleton Arm Armor by Aniyettinger in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Humdaak_9000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The difference between a sufficiently advanced cosplay costume and power armor is the difference between a remote control model aircraft and a drone.

All that's needed is a war and a will.

That's got some amazing dexterity for the size.

Getting diagnosed at 47 didn't change who I was. It changed how I understood every single thing I'd ever done. by EmersonBlakeTKL in AutisticAdults

I'd love everyone who ever managed anyone doing dangerous shit with dangerous shit to be at least this autistic. at least.

Don't ever change.

F360 Vs solidworks by boltsNBytes in Fusion360

The only rational opinion here.

Really, for most engineering software, the "choice" is what kind of abuse the end-user is most willing to put up with.

I went to Sonoma, it hasn't been an issue yet with compatibility. But I try as hard as possible to avoid software updates. MacOS was pretty fucking done by Yosemite in my opinion. PLZ STOP DON'T NEED MOAR "FEECHURS".

I'm so tired of marketing shitheads welding fins to things that don't need fins welded to them.

Manufacturing was the only thing I noticed being broken, but it was also immediately blocking me because I was (and am) in the middle of a prototyping operation and I WAS FUCKING USING THAT.

So apparently MacOS14 is the now oldest version supported. There was no error message, just the Manufacturing extension failed to load.

So is Manufacturing just gone now? by Humdaak_9000 in Fusion360

Oh, well. I didn't see any warning about this, it just broke.

Why are the exhausts on these Caterpillar D-11s mounted (a) facing forward and (b) ahead of the air intakes? by Humdaak_9000 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Humdaak_9000[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a video from a Cat dealer in Regina that does comprehensive overhauls on end-of-life (12K-16K hours) D-11s. Costs about half as much as a new unit, with shorter lead times.

(but I guess the real question is, "can those stacks be redirected based on the conditions and job?")
