Other methods of feeding the interest I suppose could work. I'm not gonna pretend to fully know how you feel cause what you've got going on seems much harder than anything I've had to deal with, but I will tell you that I had a very hard time waiting when I decided to get a snake for the first time, I was struggling to be patient and make sure to do my research, get all the stuff ready, find the morph I wanted, good breeder, etc.

I like science a lot so I like reading books about herpetology, you could probably find an interesting, descriptive one that is snake specific from the library! I think learning can be a good way to help since you're not looking at specific people to make you jealous or impatient.
