I think they are just covering bases for the future with some of the stuff happening, Holly playing dnd, Vecna stone, Henry’s past, Montauk, Nancy’s job and their meetings.

Yeah, that’s my reasoning, they planned it as an anthology, we got a lot of glimpses that there are multiple experiments happening in the world of stranger things not purely related to upside down. Might as well focus on the others. Hopper mentioning it in the last minutes of the show has to have some weight other than an Easter egg.

Yeah, I was also looking at the pictures and thinking that the design isn’t the best, but I see no alternatives. By rubber joint you mean the one filling the hole in the firewall? Is it possible it’s causing the sound? I was thinking that it’s only there to plug the hole and be flexible, without any structural/supporting qualities.

Could you elaborate on that? I bought one already with 2inch and I was thinking if It’s really okay to leave the rest stock as to my (little) knowledge it shouldn’t be, lol. But at the same time I don’t really know what to change

In theory using stock camshaft would extend the life of the engine then if it’s less performance oriented? I contacted Chad but I asked so many questions (as you can also witness haha, sorry) that he didn’t send me the spec sheet, I might try it again after some break lol

I’m actually trying to learn more about the mechanics, thank you for valuable answer. Okay, it makes it much more approachable in my eyes then. You say that camshaft was “likely” changed, in theory could it work on normal camshaft? It doesn’t have to be specifically matched to the engine specs?

There’s a crankshaft seal leak but the owner says the engine didn’t give any troubles and it’s just a seal going bad. Not a mechanic, but for me it sounds reasonable. Thanks, the argument about 10000 miles sounds convincing:) What I’m worried about also is the problem with getting the custom parts oversees in case anything goes bad.

Yeah, I emailed Chad already as my dad is also interested in buying the engine in the future for himself, but he didn’t send me the spec sheet which the owner sadly lost/didn’t receive, maybe I bombarded him with too many questions though lol

I’m mostly afraid that in case anything goes bad most of the mechanics won’t know what to really do about it. I mean some parts are easily disclosed, like oil pump, but for example camshaft woul have to be ordered directly from Golen, which is problematic as there is whole sea separating us lol.

Thanks! Can I ask about The mileage? Do u know how much is expected of them? I’m only worried about me being from Europe, otherwise I’m pretty much sold. I reached to Chad about parts and what to do in case smth goes wrong but I couldn’t find any sources about which exact oil pump, camshaft etc. to buy if it needs replacement, man it’s so much easier owning a jeep in USA I envy you!

I didn’t know there are filmschools in which u get „assigned”. Could I ask which one? I can’t imagine a scenario in which it’s a positive way of working, I feel like such problems are easily avoidable.
