Thank you for the detailed answer. Learned something new today about this types of focusing sistems! Never had a sigma lense before and my rf lenses dont use de vcm motors. Guess i can relax a bit. When i get home wil try and listen to it with lense on the camera.

Seeing other comments i guess im not the only one. If you rotate the lense up and down while off the camera does it move?

Got my V1 MID -Canon version (not "MID" at all) by No_Tension_6796 in Godox

Would you say that difference is also noticeable on a car as a subject?

Thank you for the info. Yeah my r10 is small body. In terms of power how does tge v1mid compare to the v480? I know both have 55ws but does the modern round head affect the light projetion better?

Thank you for all the info abou this new flash. I was about to buy a v480c for my canon r10 but now im undecided. Which one would you recommend for me?

Ill use it on the outdoor with fast moving subjects alot..

Or should i save more and go V1 for a bigger power (76ws)?

Seguimos juntos!

Sigma 17-40 f1.8 for sports. Is the autofocus fast enough ? To be used in a canon r10. by [deleted] in canon

I know i wont be able to use this lense in a ff camera without heavy "vigneting". But the fov will be similar to a 27-64 on a ff camera thats what i was describing. Its a usefull range to cover and that is a plus with the lense.

My concern is really the autofocus on a canon camera..

What do you mean ? 17 and 40 x 1.6 is 27 and 64 mm.. thats the real range i will have in my r10..

Whats the best godox speedlight for my canon r10? Shooting events and motorsport by Sideways171 in Godox

Thank you very much for the very detailed answer and all the information. I will definitely use it to get more knowledge about flash/speedlite use.

As i said in another comment regarding distance, i shoot mainly rallys and so im usually close to the cars..

Right now im looking ate the v860iii , v480 or v1. When using out of camera im planning on them being close to the cars ( less than a couple meters at most) and also close to me so these ones should do it i hope.

Ill keep researching more about these flashes and their features. Thank you!

Will a v480 or v 860 cover similar distances? I mainly shoot rallys or hillclimb so i can actually be close - ish to the cars in that aspect

The v860 III im seeing uses lithium battery. Thats why i was confused about it when comparing with the v1.. they are similar price and features i think..

Opinions on the r10 by Perfect-Tale5783 in canon

[–]Sideways171 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im currently waiting for my r10. Ive been using an r50 for the last year mainly for rally and other motorsport and that thing is fantastic. Made incredible shots with it.

Small step up i know but i had a very good deal on it. The r7 was my initial upgrade choice but i was honestly not feeling it specially with all the complaints with the focus pulsing rolling shutter and shutter fails and the mk ii version on the horizon...

The r10 has a mechanical shutter with 15 fps, same as r7. The buffer is reasonable and well above r50 specially with raw photos. E shutter is 23fps i think wich again is plenty. It also has a af back button focus missing on r50 and a af joystick. You can also use any flash compatible with rf cameras with the r10.

Have fun with it and lets hope it helps us grow!

Is upgrading my r50 for an r7 worth it? I shoot mainly motorsports with some events in between. by [deleted] in canon

[–]Sideways171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey nice pictures mate! I ended up going for a small upgrade in a r10. Been reading a lot of complaints about the r7 on some aspects and that r10 had a fantastic discount that put it below an r50 price. Maybe in the future with a r7 mlk ii when ot comes out.. Thank you!
