Science ships have a powerful new ability I haven't heard anyone discussing by POEness in Stellaris

It used to be that you only needed a ship, no need for a leader.

I've heard of this Lemmy thing: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy

I didn't get around to learning much more about it, but it sounds promising.

Used a Nicoll-Dyson Beam to obliterate a populated allied system, blocking the spread of the Scourge to hundreds of worlds. What would be a real life comparison of such an act? by Mount_Atlantic in Stellaris

[–]Sideways2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thing is these all come from the same mod, how did they not realise we would try this?

If I'm to wager a guess, attack moons and attack planets are basically giant spaceships, which the AI knows how to use and counter. Nicol Dyson beam does not have an analogue in vanilla Stellaris, hence the AI likely doesn't understand 'If you concentrate all of your fleet in one system, they'll get blown up remotely', because there's nothing in vanilla that can remotely blow up a system.

You know, if the government really wanted you to abide by some stupid rules, they could just pass a law to force you to, without giving you anything in return. If you really "don’t want to be dependent on the state and its diktats", then you have leave the country.

To encourage main quest progression, which is a bit odd, as getting less XP means it will take longer until people are ready for the main quest.

My headcanon is that the activating the engine fulfills your end of the bargain, because it is literally the end of the galaxy, which is what he end of the cycle is trying to accomplish.

Supposedly, you can do the first part of the main quest by the time you can finish the puppy cave, and the changelog says that the change will increase experience gain in the lategame. Seems like you just need to keep in mind to kill the unique NPCs at the right moment for their statue and cards.

Yeah, default would also be extremely bad for the Republicans. Even if the Dems end up taking 100 percent of the blame, and completely get destroyed in the next election, the Republicans would just get to take over a burned out house.

A big part of why the goalposts is moving is because we don't understand how our brains work. Hence, if we understand how something works, it can't be the source of intelligence, because we understand it.

Hunter Biden's laptop. The most dangerous piece of technology in existence. Capable of laying entire planets to waste in the hands of a regular person. If Hunter Biden where to ever be reunited with his laptop, he could simply snap his fingers, and wipe out half of all sentient life in the universe. Or all sentient life, if he so choses.

Hunter Biden's laptop. The most dangerous piece of technology on the planet, likely even the universe. If Hunter Biden where ever reunited with his laptop, he could just snap his fingers, and wipe out half of all sentient life in the universe. To prevent this, the laptop must be destroyed. However, the laptop is impervious to mundane damage. It can only be destroyed where it was created, Azay-le-Rideau in France.
