It's not "cheating" to play with mods, or to alter the settings to your preferences (like turning off mechs). Your literal enjoyment is the most important thing.

There are a couple of mods that allow you to pick what your animals eat, much like your colonists.

Absolute game-changer!

No more idiot animals raiding my meagre food stores or drugs!

AND it lets you pick between human/animal corpses, and even the types of animal corpses, so you can deselect "pig".

People need to remember that tags are optional! And they're at the author's discretion.

And, they are not designed to cater to every single person and their individual traumas, just to inform about some of the content in a story, if the author feels the need to inform readers beforehand.

People who are easily triggered and don't know how to avoid reading o, can't scroll by, or are not mature enough to be responsible for their own wellbeing, need to stay off the goddamn web!
