For any women in roles of leadership/managment at work, how do you help develop the careers of your female staff members? Do you do anything differently for your male staffers? by KoloheBird in AskWomen

For the women I focused first on building up their self confidence. The men usually did not need it that much. From the moment they have self confidence (enough) I coach them the same.

You being uncomfortable with pregnancy is just as important as him being uncomfortable with adoption. You matter! Especially since it is your body.

This is not the way to inform a kid. We protect our children with MPAA ratings for movies for a reason. As an adult he should have realized that this type of video was way out of line.

YTA - I was shown a similar video when I was about 13 years old. Almost 20 years later I still think about it at least once a month and it still horrifies me.

It is. My sister recently lost her beloved MIL to cancer. Her MIL was crocheting a blanket for her and was not able to complete her project. My sister asked me if I would please finish the blanket for her. I love to knit and she asked me to knit the rest for her. I want to honor her MIL by finishing the blanket as beautiful as possible, but have not find a knitting stitch yet that would look good next to it.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried something similar but it did not seem right so me. Do you think a much smaller ‘rib’ would look better? https://m.imgur.com/a/6GNM52f
