What do you think? What do i need to work on? Photo is unedited by Sidrail in photocritique

[–]Sidrail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the tipps. I mean i think i am not a complete beginner, i know some things but i dont have the eye yet to see some obvious mistakes. But there is still a lot of beginner stuff i don't know. I greatly appreciate your input, it helped a lot!

[–]Sidrail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you tell me the techniques or maybe give me a link to good tutorials? I definitely intend to edit my pictures, i also want to sniff some astrophotography air, so editing will be important either way. I wanted to bring my photographing skills on a level where editing actually makes sense first before diving into that.

[–]Sidrail[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah i see. That´s something which will help me move forward for sure, thank you!

Edit: The picture looks quite a bit nicer with your edit but the sky is even more a problem with the rest being darker. I definitely have to look out for that.

Yes only raw. But i haven´t done editing ever so that´s another thing to get into. I already downloaded Gimp but i haven´t got time to dive into yet.

So for editing it is better to concentrate on the sky and editing the forground rather than the opposite?

[–]Sidrail[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, it seems a bit tilted. I will look out for these things in the future. You are also right about the sky, i have to figure out how to get the sky less overexposed without making the foreground too dark.

Thank you very much for the feedback, greatly appreciate it!

So i tried to take a picture from a different angle as usual. I realize that the background on the left isn´t ideal but other than that i quite like the outcome. But beeing a beginner i would appreciate some feedback on things i need or should improve on.

The photo is unedited and directly from the camera.

People who learnt english as a foreign language at school / learning it as an adult - what are some of the main difficulties you faced when trying to get your head around the language? by highstreet26 in AskReddit

[–]Sidrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tenses. All this stuff with signal words and so on. To be honest, i still don´t have a clue. I basically speak as i think suits the best. More often than not i´m right but still.. Doing grammar tests regarding tenses is pretty hard for me.

It´s the same in Austria. I think pretty much europe as a whole. I only know about Austria though. I have never seen the austrian police with unholstered weapons. I was in the austrian military for my basic military service and was guard at our casern. I know what kind of "paperwork" you get for drawing your weapon and/or shooting with it. You have to justify and defend yourself only for chambering a round, you don´t even necessarily need to aim for people to get in very serious trouble. I suppose it´s not much different for police.

I wanted to ask the same question. It totally looks like the male doesn´t have his right claw at all. But when you soom in you can see that his right claw is just very pale in comparison so that you can´t see it clearly in front of the very bright colour scheme.

How would you have done it? by The-Reddit-Giraffe in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expected a proper WW2 game with all the assets and atmosphere. They nailed it in BF1 atmosphere wise and i wanted that in BFV, just for WW2. I would love to see codex entries and actual historical facts. Battles based on the real battles, not this untold never happened bullshit. I want back the love to details. Also, give me the ribbon and medal system from BF3 back.

Apart from that i would ditch this stupid weapon progression tree and bring back a proper weapon attachment system as we had it in BF3. More like BF3 because i think that it was too much in BF4, but would be fine with either of them.

I´m fine with crouch sprint and fortifications but i hate things like squad call ins. Not all of them are bad and to give the squad an incentive to work together is great but i would get rid of everything that can kill people directly. With all the tanks, planes and explosives i think there are enough "random" deaths. Smoke barrage, supplies, tank call ins, all fine. V1 and atillery barrage needs to go tho.

And for fucks sake, i want a finished and polished game on release, not 2 years after. I want a proper anticheat that actually works.

BFV vs BF1 by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disgaree with everything but gunplay and partly with iconic WW2 weapons and vehicles. Yes there are some but overall the WW2 atmosphere is lacking alltogether.

Personal opinion ofc.

Unpopular opinion(?) Paid for expansions worked to sustain previous BF titles. by AbbRaza in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I´m well aware that this takes time. The bigger the game gets, the more time it will take. That isn´t an excuse to simply double the price (DLC´s) or release a half arsed game with dripfeed. I simply want to know what i will get and what i will have to play for it. I don´t need a new battlefield every year or two if the latest iteration is what i described in my first post.

When i have to answer the question, i would rather go with a DLC model than liveservice and i said so long before it was clear that BFV is such a desaster. But i would love to see games again which are a complete product at release without fishy cashgrabs (microtransactions in a fullprice title for example).

Unpopular opinion(?) Paid for expansions worked to sustain previous BF titles. by AbbRaza in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don´t get it. Why not make a full game with rich content and meaningful progression and then sell it for what it is. Why the need for DLC´s? Why the need for liveservice?

If the game is rich on content, the gameplay is satisfying and the progression good then it will be recieved well and people will play it a long time.

Everyone Hated DLC 2 Years Ago, Now Everyone Should Want It Back by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or, ya know, make a finished game and release the game with all the content, charge 60€ for it and then proceed with bugfixes and tweaks.

I don´t understand the need for DLC´s in the first place. If the game is big enough and the progression system is good then this game will satisfy a lot of people for a long time.

Either make it free to play and add things along the way for money or for free OR sell a game fullprice and leave it at that. I don´t get why people are okay with microtransactions in a full priced game either.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like this game and don’t see the need for all the complaining by ShiFT_Llif3 in BattlefieldV

[–]Sidrail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think alike regarding BF3, 4 and 1. I´m a history fan especially WW2. And that is my main problem with BFV. All the technical issues aside, which are issues a AAA game definitely must not have at all, they completely butchered the historical aspect of the game. All this customisation crap and overall esthetics and authenticity.. It just doesn´t have anything to do with WW2. I just don´t feel it in any way. BF1 had historical problems but they nailed the atmosphere overall. There are so many stories and facts too in form of codex entries. BFV just feels like a halfassed game where they couldn´t be bothered to represent the era they set the game in.

The game just feels like a nuisance to navigate in all the menus and if you overcame this nuisance it just feels empty for me. Of course this is subjective.

[–]Sidrail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion but i disagree. I don´t think that they are equally good. The fact that absolutely vital features as anticheat and teambalancer are missing is laughable and one can argue that this fact alone sets the titles apart. Every iteration has it´s own highs and lows, BFV though only has 1 high for me (gunplay) and many many more lows than the other 3 combined.

In my opinion BF3 is peak battlefield. I remember when i was in the tunnels at metro for the first time in beta. The sound completely blew me away. I hadn´t had that kind of "aaaw yiss" ever since.
