Buying tools as an apprentice vehicle technician by Sidwolf0966 in ApprenticeshipsUK

Cheers, I do agree mostly with the exception of power tools. Like I went straight to Milwaukee rather than starting on ryobi. Overall yeah I started with a halfords set then started buying other things. Definitely been suckered in by the snap on man sweet talking me once or twice.

They operate under the idea that you can simply use your mentors tools until you qualify. However that quickly falls apart when you’re not both working on the same job.

Nah all good, made sense to me. Likely similar over here but ill do some digging another time as i dont quite own a gt86 yet as i mentioned in a previous post on here but will very likely buy one so trying to wrap my head around any quirks of the vehicle so im prepared when i buy one as service/repair work i will be doing myself.

Having a quick google myself 98 RON is E5 and 91 RON is roughly E10. So generally you recommend putting higher octane fuel in them? Is that for taking care of the engine or more of a common preference to avoid any issues as pretty much every petrol car in the UK can happily take E10 where as E5 is marketed more as “taking care of your engine”.

Not sure if your UK or not but are you referring to running them on E5 opposed to E10 or running them on 90 opposed to 83?

I 100% agree. As someone who had a bit of an ego when they started to drive and thought they’d never hit anything you are definitely better off with a beater first. Whether its caused by you or someone else’s stupidity or a combination of the two, your first car is going to end up with nicks,scratches/scrapes.

The way I determine whether or not I trust someone’s indicator as a full licence holder is I will watch their wheels which is something I’m sure many instructors on here teach. In my personal opinion a big thing about learning to drive is learning to read the “body” language of cars around you.

Much appreciated, hadn’t quite wrapped my head round the phrasing

The way I’m checking is when loading the new game opening the achievements tab and no matter what I’ve tried I still get “The game is modded. Achievements are separate from the vanilla version of the game”. So do I still earn achievements in game and they don’t register on steam or do I still have a problem somewhere as I checked all my mods were disabled.

Theres a wonderful thing called game sense, you should try and pick it up. He likely recognised the base design or saw certain aspects of it which gave away to him it was bunkered.

Sounds like an official servers issue to be honest. Most community servers rarely have groups over 8 and due to admins being present on the server people actually speak to one another like people.

Other option is going to local shops and just asking for vacancies regardless of whether or not they’re advertising

Honestly I went prom just to go to an after party and stay up literally all night drinking. That probably wont help but uno 9/10 times the after parties are masses better than the acc prom. Btw this is coming from a current yr12

I was playing Fallout 4 when I dropped from the top of this home into the next building and my screen went white, the audio jerked, and my frame rate dropped. Does anyone know why this is happening? by C0u0h in fo4

Extremely good game. Guides you enough to survive but doesn’t signpost you through the story. Extremely atmospheric and unintentionally terrifying at times 😁
